Blogging - Which way is right?

    I'm very interested in starting to blog in order to get a steady income. I can easily write 1-2 articles a day for multiple sites.

    I have a question that I hope some experienced blogger can answer. Should I right my bloggs all on one niche, or can I write a blog about my thoughts and opinions as I go through life? I think the freedom of the latter will allow me to be unique.

    Also how can I get the word out about my blog? Are there any sound methods to do such?

    It depends. Do you plan on monetizing your blog? Are your thoughts and opinions on life something that is going to make you money?

    I'm not trying to be sarcastic either. These are real honest questions that you need to ask yourself before moving forward with your blog.

    after reading your post, i can say, you can write two seperate blogs. One for your own views and opinions and other for niche selected by you and get it monetize. all the best :)

    I think if you are good in writing better to go writing for different niche.

    Very good point. plan for your blog to succeed. I would recommend one topic, and become an expert in blogging circles in that topic.

    There are a lot of ways.

    1. Link in your signature in the forums you visit.
    2. exchange blog rolls with other bloggers.
    3. MyBlogLog
    4. Comment on other bloggers blogs
    5. Technorati
    6.Stumple & Digg
    7. write quality articles

    Selecting your niche is one of the most important things to do. Writing about your life/thoughts etc is fine as long as it's very good and unique since there are many doing this (I once saw a blog written by a prostitute living in a trailer).
    If you haven't done so already visit problogger.net and Yaro Starak's website (google him) and download their free guides. Yaro's guide is very very good. It will probably change the way you see blogging.
    He also has a paid forum with lessons to follow.
    Another good source is copyblogger.com
