VPS Hosting and Credit Card Processing

    I know it's a very bad idea to use shared hosting if you have a site that requires users to input sensitive information (i.e. credit card numbers). If I have an e-commerce site that requires users to input credit card numbers, can I use VPS hosting or is my only option dedicated hosting?

    I don't see a reason why VPS wouldn't do it, though if you are serious about it, I would truly suggest getting a dedicated server.

    My bandwidth requirements are going to be minimal (at least initially). VPS seemed like a viable option. Would dedicated hosting provide more security than VPS hosting?
