My sites show a similar stats. I myself stopped using IE long time ago and I do not see how Microsoft can motivate me to switch back to IE.
Yeah, I'd be willing to bet that the more technical your niche, the higher the firefox user count will be...
For the Hawk Host site we're showing 49.8% firefox users and 38.9% internet explorer users. The rest is made up of Opera, Safari and other random browsers. We deal with more technical users for it makes a lot of sense. Now even more interesting a video game related web site that gets a significant amount of traffic sees 68% firefox and 29% internet explorer. I think it really comes down to where your traffic is coming from. More tech savvy users are using firefox. If you're running some e-commerce site selling books you may see a significant amount of internet explorer users.
It's over for Microsoft as such! Open source will triumph But as of now, most of the visitors to my site use IE ...
I want to see some statistics for DigitalPoint browser usage. That would be interesting. I am also a Firefox only user. I love the plugins and themes! Makes my marketing job a bit easier.
Firefox is a great browser and good to see it catching up with IE. Todays youth are more computer minded and once one person uses a new browser the others seem to follow quickly, thats why i think firefox could eventually overtake IE. But saying that most of the visitors to my sites, more than 80%, still tend to have IE.
firstly i used 2 do surfing thru IE but now a days i use onle firefox...its completely user frndly & obviously better dan IE
I am surprised, it sounds like most webmasters use firefox, though, I use Internet Explorer, just my personal preference Meti
Exactly right. If you look at more general web statistics, you'll see that in the range of 60-80% of web surfers are still using some version of IE, depending on the website and its particular demographics.
I personally use Firefox, i find it much more useful than internet explorer. Ive used Opera before, but i dont really see the advantages of it, so i went back to good old firefox
