    Description:

    • Within the last 4 years ACAPELLAS4U has firmly established itself as the leading provider of FREE acapellas on the net. The forum is extremely active for discussing everything to do with the extraction of vocals from music and sees several hundred signups each week. Overall, the growth has been outstanding.
    • ACAPELLAS4U runs on phpBB with an EZ Portal front-end. The forum contains well over 50,000 members. The backend features a bespoke Upload/Download 'credit-based' system built using MySQL/PHP that integrates with phpBB’s database structure which is a fundamental part to the site.
    • We rank firmly #1 within Google for our chosen keywords/phrases and have done for years. We are also recognised by Google as a leading authority in our field.
    • Our current Alexa rating is 77k.
    • Our internal mailing list features over 22,000 opt-ins and runs on phpList and has never been sold or used to sell to.
    • ACAPELLAS4U has had sponsored support in the way of donated prizes from SONY, ABLETON and other recognised figures within the music industry in the past and will continue to in the future.
    • Supplied with the sale: All original .psd artwork, all site files, complete vocal library (15,000+ files / over 800 hours)
    • I must just stress that ACAPELLAS4U has remained a totally free site since it’s inception and this is a fundamental element of its success and probably why we are still going. It’s extremely popular as we’ve done a great job with the site and we also have a good history. We are somewhat of a ‘household’ name when it comes to acapellas and where to find them for free. There is some added risk involved with this site for obvious reasons but we have never received any legal action.
    • Weekly Operation Hours Required: 2-3 hours
    • I have created an account for this sale which will enable you to try the site - Demo Account: Click here to login with a username & password of sitepoint

    Tim.

Bid's are considered only via the actual sale on SitePoint itself (use the link in my original post). So if you are serious about bidding for ACAPELLAS4U I would suggest that you actually make a bid properly.

    Many thanks,

    Regards,

    Rich.

    p.s ehab, you lurker ;)

I just wanted to point-out that any original recordings which
have had their vocals stripped-out remain the property of
    the copyright holder.

Usually this is a corporation, record company, production
    company or artist.

As such, and regardless of any 'public domain' argument,
the uploading, usage, distribution, redistribution and in
most international law the encouragement to upload,
distribute or redistribute the same are illegal without
express consent of the copyright owner/s.

I know about this because I own a succesful UK indie record
label which has experience of this from a copyright owner's
    side at first-hand.

I don't doubt that you have an interesting site but in terms
of legality this seems to cross a fairly well demarked line
in terms of international law. Anyone found responsible
or culpable (including aiding & abetting) of purposely breaking
existing copyright laws especially in UK, Europe and the US
will be in particularly hot water. (The US demands extradition
and trial for much less if you care to do your homework - and
if a US citizen then sequestration of assets, enormous fine and
quite possibly a jail sentence might follow).

I don't want to pour water on your party but I'd suggest that
a site like this might be a good add-on for an established
international record or publishing company which can monitor
usage and redistribute some of the income back to the writers,
artists and copyright owners themselves. As with lots of things
in life 'The Devil's in the Details' and where income is concerned
whoever took this on would have to be able to administrate that
detail in the same way that MCPS, PRS, GEMA, BIEM, RIAS all
    do so well.

If I can give you any more info or help put you in touch with
some potentially suitable buyers please do let me know.

    Best,

    s ;-o
