Google's 2007 Q4 PageRank (PR) Update - 10/13/07

PR changes for my blogs:

1. flash related 7 (was 0) few months old
2. flash related 6 (was 5)
3. illustrations blog 4 (was 3)
4. web general blog 5 (was 0) this one has only few posts !!!
5. games blog 3 (was 0)
6. personal blog 0 (was 3)

Drop on only one blog. However, I don't know if update is over but these numbers look suspicious to me, so I expect them to drop. If not, great !

 

I think it finished, all of my new sites got PR.

 

I think it will keep updating till end of november.
My personal page, which was PR 4 before the update, still has PR 4, which is kinda weird...
I got over 3000 sitewide links from a PR3 site (that became PR4), also got another ~400 links on a PR5 site, optimized my site a lot... and no PR change? that's just silly...

 

Something strange I noticed on one of my sites.

Before
Main Page PR4
Some Sub Pages PR5
Some Sub-Sub Pages PR0

After
Main Page PR4
99% of Sub Pages PR3
99% of Sub Sub Pages pr2

So hard to answer that question. I believe it is different for everyone.

 

They must still be updating (I hope). I have a site I've done almost nothing with (and I get no traffic on) has gone from a PR2 to PR 3, while one of my previous PR 3 is now a PR 2. Either they've really messed with the algo, or the update/export is still happening.

 

Seems like my low pr sites went up a notch and my high pr sites dropped a notch.

 

My best site went from pr4 to pr5 ... Most of my others (all junk sites for the most part) went from pr3 to pr1.

I think they are getting more accurate in determining what is a good site, and what is not... Good for them.

Sorry if many of you spent money on links. You should only use good, non spammy sites if you ARE going to buy links, otherwise, you run the risk to be wasting away all that money.

 

My blog stayed the same but I haven't been marketing it at all. My messageboard homepage stayed a PR4, but the messageboard index and all the subforums went up, and even my threads have PR for the first time

 

I hope you have no kind of TLA code or link baiting on your site. "G" is big on crushing these types of sites. Especially those that look like they are "selling" blog posts.

 

My blog went from a PR3 to 4 and my other blog that I rarely post on went from no page rank to a PR1. I'm pretty happy with the PR update but that's only because I was effected positively.

I do however think that a lot of the sites that were effected negatively shouldn't have been.

congrats! interesting because it seems all it has is 10 billion links from joomlatribune.com, which itself is only PR4. hmmm....

 

youtube is at PR8 now.

 

my guess is that reciprocals cancel each other out now.

 

i dont think that the pr update was for high pr sites. my website had PR0 and it got PR3 for me its definitely an upgrade

 

This is weird... but amazing! My playstation site got from PR0 to PR6 WITHOUT OPTIMIZATION! I haven't been link building, optimizing the site at all, it just got PR6!
