What SEO software or tips are there to promote my www.iphonefreelancer.com vbulletin 3.6.8 forum? I know there is zoints and vbseo,but is there anymore? and yes i'm working on search engine friendly urls and the sitemap.
There's also NuSEO which is almost identical to vBSEO. Actually it's that similar it's almost like they reverse engineered vBSEO and copied it.. anyhow. As Forgotten said, you don't really "need" one of these products. The big engines handle the default URL's just fine, although you can improve upon vBulletin out of the box with some tweaks such as a well crafted Robots.txt, Title tag mod to remove "powered by vBulletin", some manual rewrites to help consolidate weight to a single page version and several others. Zoints Site Map is free, so you can have a very well optimized board for free if you know what you're doing. As for these SEO products, Zoints is free and has little support, NuSEO is a very new solution so hasn't got alot of stability just yet and vBSEO is well supported and solidly developed but expensive. Personally i'd manually SEO the board and spend the money on other SEO avenues, but it's ultimately up to you.
I wonder if vbSeo is even useful or it might be worthless. Well, that's what I hear. Its a heated debate. If you noticed DP doesn't us vbseo.
