LA Times (Op-Ed) The president is psychotic and needs a Straitjacket (Cheney Too)

    Because they've clearly gone mad.

"Exhibit A: We're in the middle of a disastrous war in Iraq, the military and political situation in Afghanistan is steadily worsening, and the administration's interrogation and detention tactics have inflamed anti-Americanism and fueled extremist movements around the globe. Sane people, confronting such a situation, do their best to tamp down tensions, rebuild shattered alliances, find common ground with hostile parties and give our military a little breathing space. But crazy people? They look around and decide it's a great time to start another war..."

...But all this creates a conundrum. What's a constitutional democracy to do when the president and vice president lose their marbles?

    • The U.S. is full of ordinary people with serious forms of mental illness -- delusional people with violent fantasies who think they're the president, or who think they get instructions from the CIA through their dental fillings.
    • The problem with Bush is that he is the president -- and he gives instructions to the CIA and military...

In Washington, the appropriate statutory law is already in place: If a "court or jury finds that [a] person is mentally ill and . . . is likely to injure himself or other persons if allowed to remain at liberty, the court may order his hospitalization."

I'll even serve on the jury. When it comes to averting World War III, it's really the least I can do."

    Straitjacket Bush

    Hi GTech :)
    Neo-Cons have lost their popularity.
    Didn't you notice, yet??
    • How does it feel when a touch of hard, cold reality spoils your 'party'???

I'd say you are in a MUCH better position to answer that question than I am ;)

Doesn't feel very good, does it? I don't like it when anti-America nutjob troofers attack my country. I don't like their dishonesty in attacking those I may or may not always support.

Now, the tides are finally turning and boy oh boy, are people suddenly standing up for something!

Have you seen that McDonald's commercial? "I'm lovin' it?"

Do you have a limit how many false statements you allow yourself to make per hour?

I work very hard to make sure I don't make false statements. No doubt I make some unpopular statements, but unlike some here, I'm not here for a popularity contest. I don't like being "wrong" any more than anyone else does here. However, I will own up and take responsibility when I am.

I apologize for making that "assumption" about you. There are many rp supporters here who are troofers. Apparently you are not one of "them."

Barring another major false flag operation I cannot see any way that the worlds two biggest terrorists Bush and Cheney can actually gain enough support to attack Iran. They have nothing except the mindless rhetoric fed out to some of the very impressionable sheeple out there.

But as said in the article, these 2 scumbags have got nothing to lose, they only have 15 months left.

Then it will be Hillary in charge and things ill not get any better any time soon. Doomed to failure by 2 utterly corrupt families. It's a disaster.

AGS, at this point, a falseflag is to be expected.

It's already known outside the American MSM universe (Europe, Asia) that Iran poses no threat to anyone re: nukes or terrorism. But the rhetoric here is that Iran is some axis of evil, some terrible fascist regime. And people are buying it.

I mean, anyone with half a brain knows that Iran hates the Taliban and Sunni militants. Why would they help Al Qaeda? or a better question is, if Al Qaeda is all sleeper cells, how could they possibly take orders from some guy living in a mountain cave?

We need a George Galloway. Paul and Galloway 2008. Ron can stun them with truth, and Furious George can beat it into their noggins. lol

"Galloway is perhaps best known for his vigorous campaign to overturn economic sanctions against Iraq in the 1990s and early 2000s and to avert the 2003 invasion of that country."

LOL well put mate, have not heard the term noggin for quite some time. :)

The thing is as you pointed out most sensible people know that Iran is no threat at all, other than the crazy gang, dumb sheeple that believe any old BS plus most of the idiotic warmongering Republican candidates beating the "war drum."

The false flag would have to be as big as 9/11 mate, I really cannot see them pulling one of that size before the dumbass leaves office. Too many people are waking up to the bullshit mate, especially after Iraq.

It would have to be something major, and would have to be nailed onto Iran.

The only thing I can think of that might do it is a form of attack on Israel, or failing that a major major attack on the US troops in Iraq.

They wasted 3,000 innocent lives to get into Afghanistan and Iraq, nearly 4,000 troops have been needlessly killed thanks to the
MASSIVE WMD LIE, I cannot see them batting an eyelid at a major false flag on US troops and then pin it on Iran.

You forgot about the Yellowcake Uranium lie.

And the Saddam supported terrorists lie.

And the willful destruction of intelligence by releasing the Bin laden video early.

And the outing of a CIA agent by the White House.

And the 75,000 Americans on a watch list.

And the secret black site prisons.

    And the torture memos.

And the Military Commissions Act that allows any citizen to be branded an "enemy combatant" without evidence or juidicial oversight, and then held in a navy brig in isolation for up to 3 years without a trial.

You also forgot about the powers claimed by Bush to declare Martial Law and suspend Congress for 6 months.

    And the illegal wiretapping program.

You also forgot about the no-bid contracts, Abu Grahib and Blackwater.

Let's not omit 4 million Iraqi refugees, many of them Christian.

    Or the 600,000 dead.

or the $3 billion in foreign debt we take on each day to finance the war, or the $750 million embassy being built in Iraq that is bigger than the Vatican.

Let's not talk about no political progress. Or the Coalition of the "Billing".

Let's not talk about $92 barrel oil prices, or the thousands of Iraqis imprisoned in jail awaiting capital punishment, without a trial.

Let's not forget about Iran trying to normalize US relations.

Let's not forget about Saddam's supplier of anthrax. Let's not forget about how Saddam was a CIA agent. Or Mossadeqh. Let's not forget about the Saudi Princes who own large chunks of the US. Or the soldiers sent to Iraq without proper equipment.

Let's not forget about 41 million Americans who are functionally illiterate, or the largest disparity between rich and poor in this country there ever has been.

Let's not forget about the $13 trillion debt we are passing on to future generations. Let's not forget about executive orders, executive privilege or the destruction of the Constitution.

Let's not forget about the open borders, with 20 million illegal aliens, or the attempts by the government, under the flag of the SPP, to involve the US in a North American community with harmonized laws, without notifying Congress or any oversight.

Let's not forget the 5th of November. Remember, remember. The 5th of November. :)

A very good list there buddy but I choose this one out because we all remember the BS saying that the bases will only be temporary.

When are these damn sheeple going to wake up!

Because of the sheer numbers of US troops out there (what is it now? 160,000?) there would be no problem at all for the people that control the MISERABLE FAILURE Bush to false flag about one or two thousand of them, blame it on Iran and invade it.

The deaths of US troops out there mean nothing to these neocon scumbags, as I keep trying to tell the members of the DP Crazy Gang.

Not yet, but any kind of bullshit attack on Iran would blow the whole thing wide open, Bush and Cheney know this too, which is why they are beating the war drum louder every month.

You can always tell that something is afoot when they wheel out ConTheMedia Rice. ;)

The nearly 1 billion dollar embassy is in addition to 14 permanent bases.

But remember one more lie. We're just there until the Iraqis can assume control of their own security.
