Cheating. The "no guy friends" thing is kind of twisted, too. Perhaps there are other reasons that things weren't working out with your old pet girlfriend. I mean... in your "what if" scenario...

You're wrong. I just moved in with my best friend (male.) He and I are friends, always have been and always will be. We've never had sex and he's never TRIED to have sex with me. You must be a guy with a one-track mind... I can see how it would be difficult to be strictly friends with a girl when all you think about is sex.
The moral of that movie is that men and women will NEVER be able to understand one another completely.
I don't need to watch a movie to know that... although I disagree with that statement to a point. Men and women can learn to understand one another (at least where it counts) by being WILLING to understand the various dynamics between the way males and females interact. If we can figure out where the opposite sex is coming from, it's that much easier to understand one another.

No, but they are fed up with the relationship and that means there is just so called relationship. Break it or keep it, doesn't matter and doesn't even make sense.
Cheating = not being faithful if you are in a relationship with one person and you sleep with another (regardless of what you plan on doing) You are in fact cheating. Untill you call the girl or guy or whatver, and break it off, your obligated to be faithful. I have other comments but it would open another can of worms

Your friend will eventually hit on you, chances are he already has, and due to your friendship you didn't even realize it. He may not act on his feelings, but i guarantee you, he thanks about you in a lustful way. Hes a man, it comes natural to us. Any man that denies that is lieing.
