If the USA and other countries were smart they would be doing the same, nuclear power is a great source of energy and should be used 10 fold more than it currently is. The US hasn't built a nuclear facility since the 1970s. I don't see why any country should not be allowed to build nuclear power.

There's a difference between nuclear power and nuclear bombs.

No country that has nuclear weapons should dictate who can or cannot have them. This is about power, not protection.

They are, but still I don't believe we should police the world, it wouldn't matter who had nuclear bombs if there was no war to begin with. This world needs a rude awakening, perhapes an invasion from aliens would do it.

This world needs a reason to unite and put all the differences aside before it is to late.

    Naive thinking. That's my opinion.

Inaction isn't the best course of action. Know thy enemy first, before setting unrealistic expectations that you believe they might follow. They do not think like you do.

I guess, the more you tell a child no, the more they want to do it. Thats my opinion. I say give nukes to every, then no one has the upper had.

Thats what kept the cold war for going hot. :)

I didn't know terrorists had countries, oh wait you must be thinking Iran and Iraq, guess what... propoganda machine wins again! Terrorists wouldn't be stupid enough to use a nuke on another country, they damn well know the retaliation would make most of the middle east a glass bubble.

Even more naive thinking. Thank goodness real Americans don't have to rely upon this sort of lunacy to protect them. Well, besides ron paul...but he doesn't have a change anyway :D

Its your so called real Americans that got terrorists wanting to attack us in the first place. Do you think they just woke up one day and said Hey, lets go kill some Americans, I think not.

Yet more naive thinking. Sorry, I reject your blame America first opinion.

There are some here who love that sort of thing, but you will find yourself at odds with them, since most of them seem to be ex-liberals who are now ron paul supporters.

Oh, the tangled web we weave... :D

You can reject it all you want, but you can't deny it ;)

I'm not trying to say we need nuclear weapons, nor does any other country. They are weapons to create death, and most of those deaths would be civilian. Guess we need to wait for someone to build some new bomb that can rival nukes without the radioactive after math.

    ON A SIDE NOTE...

The below link is a GREAT nuclear war senario I read, I think you might enjoy it since we are on the subject.

Well I dont believe that terrorists had come from mars, do you?
And if you think they operate without support of countries and govts. then I'm afraid to say G-Tech is right, your thinking is naive. This is no propaganda, it's reality.

In your own little dreamworld mate.
Didn't they damn (X 2) well knew that 9/11 attack would lead to massive retaliation? Still they did it.

They give a fuck about consequence and are ready to kill thousands of people by any means.

I can reject it and deny it. If blaming America first is your gig, you'll fit in well here. There are lots of self-loathers here who go out of their way to take credit for anything perceived bad, on behalf of their country. There are, though, not nearly as many that would stand up for America. But that's only because it's not popular right now. Once it gains some popularity again, they'll be back!

On nuclear weapons...I'm not interested in enemies of our country having "equality" when it comes to weapons that can destroy our country. Call me a bit traditional, but I want our country to maintain an advantage. I don't believe in the "one weapon for me, one weapon for thee" theory. We need superiority and I have no problem with that.

Now there are some who think everything must be all nice, neat and fair for everyone. They serve as something for me to laugh at. When your own life is at stake, you don't worry if the person trying to kill you has enough weapons and if you should give him a few extra, just in case.

Egypt going nuclear is great, what a smile that put on my face, Nukes for everyone (even nutters like Iran):)

You would be surprised many would ask the opponent "Hi i was just wondering if you have enough bullets in your gun, i have a full clip, if you need any more bullets just let me know, or if your gun jams just shout out ceasefire & when it's working again you can try to kill me"
