Okay, got my new card (pre paid mastercard, better for online stuff!)

I am going to put the money onto it tormw, and that takes 2 to 3 days to clear, so will pay by the weekend! I can't wait!

A couple of things...

1) If I point all the sites i make (or say, 20) to a legit website to drive traffic to it, what is the likelyhood of the legit website being banned (or penalised) by the Almighty google ???

2) How soon after joining can i get access o the members forum?

I like your setup by the way. As i understand it, there is nothing illegal about it, just breaks some of googles t&c's... I am fine with that. The way I see it google seem to think they are gods these days. They have p&ssed we off a lot recently...

I think of myself as quite a moralistic bloke, I dont rip people off, I try to be fair etc... but i don't see breaking googles rules as a problem, so long as people are not getting ripped off (which in the case of ssec, they are not! - you are just giving people what they want really!)

No chance. Otherwise I would point domainsat my competition and get them kicked out. I run 3 large automotive sites and a social network that I promote heavily with ssec. I have done so for several years now in fact, and have never been penalized.

As soon as you send me a private message I grant you access. Usually takes a few minutes at most

Right, we break their "webmaster guidelines". Who the hell cares about their webmaster guidelines lol. Too many people here seem to think they are the rulers of the internet.

You take someone that searches for a product or service and deliver them to that product or service. It's getting people the info they want, but at the same time making sure that info is from you.

Well, i have not used it as yet, but i have reserved a place while i sort an issue with my card out (paypal are as bad as google in my opinion!!!)

All I can say personally is that this thread has lots of praise for the system, I have been poking around the ssec forums and all seem happy and I can say that any questions i have had have been met with concise, informed responses, so seems all good to me!

I am going to join and take up my reserved slot on friday, I will post on here and in the ssec forums to say what I think, but so far I am impressed!

Sounds interesting. Would like to read some reviews from some of those signing up via these forums first, however.

 

Head over to our member forums and ask the users any questions you may have. That way you can get an idea of how things work from people that actually use the system.

The biggest issue I found is getting my sites indexed. You may have 300+ sites and have invested two weeks of your time, but what's the point if you can't get your sites indexed? worse still, you get your sites indexed then get your domains banned a few days later. I spent four-five hours yesterday submitting 30 links to blogs, removing the no follow link in the 'backlink' and content section of the template then submitting the RSS feeds, and nothing.... so far in terms of SE traffic. This is time consuming... and I don't even know if it was worth the trouble... mind you it has only been one day, so I ought to be a little more patient, but the above method, I am told is supposed to get SE spiders sprinting to your sites

Brian, you mentioned in a previous post that you can only expect to see good results if you have your own server. Could you expand? because I'm close to quitting and need a little encouragement. How much easier is it to get your sites indexed? this is the main problem I am facing. Is it a case of just installing the interlinking script and then the spiders will crawl your sites over and over? Or is there a lot more work involved.

 

Check the member forums. Everyone there will tell you to get your own server. The hosted is really just there as a learning tool. The last think you want is thousands of automated sites all on one server. You have no control over what the other members are doing on that server that may lead to your sites getting banned. We've covered that over and over. Check our October earnings thread. I counted at least half a dozen members that made it above 10K in revenue for last month, not a single one was on the hosted server.

For indexing, once you get your own server I would search the forum for the interlinking script. All I do is what's built into the software along with the interlinking script. I have no problem getting indexed, and staying indexed.

Really though all of this is covered extensively in the members area.

You really will be glad you got a vps once you do. Take any merchants that have converted for you and clone the heck out of them to make some quick money. It also gives you the option of running sub domains if you have your own server. This means you can build several hundred "sites" off of a single domain. Doing this I have gone almost 6 months without buying a single domain.

I have a large workload at the moment, would it be a problem if I stayed inactive for a few weeks? You wouldn't chuck me off would you?

I'm not disinterested, I just think there would be a lot of work involved setting up, and right now I am extremely limited for time so I just need time to cool off a bit so when I am ready to re-engage myself I give it my all, if you see what I mean?

Even if you need to cancel and come back when you have the time it isn't a problem. I would like to work with you more to get you on the right track though. Believe it or not, I hadn't known anything at all about SEO until I had stumbled across this thread (how I came across it I don't know) but I've learnt so much in the past few weeks just browsing through the member forums. Your software is pretty easy to get to grips with, everything fell in to place quite quickly which is pretty impressive considering I had no prior knowledge of SEO.
