Great reply. Bumped it to keep it in the public eye being the official Ron Paul campaign update thread.
Ron Paul supporters are inviting a holocaust denier to speak at MSU. Nice http://www.lsj.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20071027/NEWS01/710270332/1001/news I find it interesting who the Paul supporters are willing to cozy up to when support is needed. Doesn't everyone else? Hmm. so we have Ron Paul getting donations from neo-nazis, ron paul's campaign paying alex jones, ron paul also paying for astroturfing, and now we have his supporters getting holocaust deniers on stage. What an intriguing little campaign this has become
How did you ascertain that these are RP supporters Lorien? If you can't provide some connection, I'm going to ask for your post to be removed from the thread. This is for campaign updates only.
RP's campaign paid Alex Jones? Oh my... that's terrible. I was pretty fond of RP as a Congressperson, but that sort of thing would kill those happy thoughts.
We don't know why, yet. Must be some kind of dark conspiracy Based on your previous Neo-con statements I'm sure you are much more concerned about the mass-murder of innocent people by our military forces in Iraq. In your own words: Are you proud of this statement, and it's obvious high quality standards? Are you aware the forum owners asked people not to talk this way? Does insulting people excite you? How much money?? What are the details of your 'game'??? ~~~~~~ Big Ron Paul Update: Remember Dr. Ron Paul will be on the Tonight Show with Leno this Tues.
Here's their website, it'll say it all for you. This is the group that invited the guy. Your lack of surprise or outrage (yet again) on this issue is becoming alarming, guerilla. http://www.spartanspectator.com/ Just today, the bloggers are proud to be quoted by the BNP site (which has neo-nazi links as well: http://www.stopthebnp.org.uk/uncovered/pg06.htm) Here's a link to 3rd quarter campaign expenditures: http://query.nictusa.com/pres/2007/Q3/C00432914/B_PAYEE_C00432914.html Jones, Alex 1,300.00 And here's the salary of a person who does astroturfing for Paul. I thought it was all natural ground swell. Wonder if she encourages the 9/11 truth signs that always appear with Paul supporters too. Could be more on that list, I didn't google all the names. One was enough. Andrews, Anita 10,441.36 Google "anita andrews ron paul" and you'll see her astroturfing through various RP meetup sites.
These people are in no way affiliated with the campaign. This thread is for campaign updates or diluted, campaign related events. This was neither a Ron Paul for President 2008 grassroots event, nor an official campaign function or news event. I'm going to ask that you stop thread jacking one more time. Start a new thread that discusses Ron Paul supporters (although I am quite sure that you and GTech have already started several).
Did I claim they were? I'm just finding it (not very) surprising that Ron Paul supporters are inviting a holocaust denier to speak at MSU. I'm sure it'll be a fun fun gathering of supporters and I'd say getting RP supporters together discussing common thoughts is an important campaign update, don't you? Also, a nice little update is that - once again - you are given a chance to denounce a group of RP supporters that distract from RP's small government message, but fail to do so. But, nonetheless, Ron Paul -is- paying Alex Jones. He's also funding astroturfing as well. Which are both campaign updates. Everyone attend your astroturfing meetup, it's important!
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=3753385 So is Giuliani a child molester? You have to love neocon "logic." Oh, they are getting desperate Everytime they try to smear him, just look at who is doing the smearing. Do you really think these neocon hacks are more credible than Ron Paul?
You tell me. This is not a campaign update. As the thread starter, I have asked numerous times to stay to topic. You're intentionally trying to derail the purpose of this thread.
As I've stated before, I'm taking $1,000 bets on Ron Paul's candidacy. The Paulinas seem so completely sure that Grandpa Paul is going to be our next President -- until they are asked to put their money where their mouths are. Stand up for your beliefs!
Good info. I'm not surprised either. This is exactly what I've come to expect from guerilla and exactly what I would expect from ron paul supporters in general. I remember how some, in this very thread, spent enormous amounts of energy and dishonesty in derailing a thread about "The Surge in Iraq is Working." I didn't cry about it though. I simply challenged their delusion with facts and watched as denial ensued. Just one more "coincidence" that continues to build up. Anti black, anti jews. Every time a new piece of the puzzle falls into place, it exposes the picture for what it really is.
Why would anyone bet $1,000 with you when they can take their $1,000 to the bookmakers with far more lucrative returns? Your offer and claim that it's proof that people don't really believe he will win is therefore rather silly... Pete
This thread is for Ron Paul campaign updates only. Period. I've contacted the mods regarding several posts and encouraged others to do the same. If you're not here to post or discuss campaign updates, either official or the grassroots, you're thread jacking, and intentionally trying to disrupt the discussion. I would be happy to debate any or all of you, particularly the Huckabee fan (who I will take off my ignore list) regarding the positions of their candidate, or on any of Dr. Paul's positions in another thread. But the trampling of this thread has to stop. It is for campaign updates only.
Thanks for reiterating that I said Ron Paul supporters. Not the Ron Paul campaign. I'm just (not so) shocked that RP will not denounce the people who are currently raising awareness for his campaign. And here I thought RP knew better than "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" - guess it works when it fits Briant invokes a strawman, but makes a valid point. When you have questionable people supporting you; it tarnishes the campaign. Rudy is rightfully taking a beating for keeping this guy around. Wonder why RP is immune to that. Thanks for the great support, Briant! What time and energy? This takes several seconds of work and goes miles showing how kooky Ron Paul is, by continually not denouncing the people who are responsible for raising his awareness. Yep. I've pointed out donations by neo-nazi groups. Also the RP donation button on stormfront.org. And the silence from the RP campaign about such things as well. I'd call paying $1,300 to a truther guy and a conspiracy theorist just a little problem, wouldn't you? Also the astroturfing. I'm sure guerilla would say something bad about that, if it were any other candidate, but here ... *crickets* I'm doing exactly that. i'm updating the world on what the supporters are doing. What other RP thread in this forum would you find good info for RP supporting holocaust deniers to meet up and discuss thoughts and ideas
I support Paul, but I do not support some of his supporters. Basically I don't see anything here to bash Paul, but because there's nothing to bash Paul with instead you use who supports him as a bashing rod. That's fine. I bet you anything Neo Nazi's, Communists, KKK members, Gang Bangers, and a number of other folks have supported varying campaigns so far this year, and have done so in the past. So rather than pick out the crazies in Pauls group in an effort to defame/destroy/whatever the hell you are trying to do/ why not go look at the other groups too? Mitt Romney, Guliani, McCain, Clinton, Obama, Kookoospinach, etc *insane democrats here and republicans I can't remember*. They've all got nefarious supporters as well. So, until I see them condemned or whatever the hell it is you're looking for from their supporters here on DP, I don't think it is a requirement of the Paul supporters to do any condemning. Secondly, why can't you make a seperate thread, post a link here, and carry on with the issue there? Or, am I going to be surprised even more by the lowbrow tactics... I thought better of many here a while ago.
Giuliani supports that guy. Ron Paul has support from a broad spectrum of people. If you can't see the difference, it is actually fine with me. The awkward neocon attacks against Ron Paul and the clear hypocrisy are only helping him. The mainstream smear tactics are tired. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WsTSjJBCB4 Guy at 2:09: "I'm mad as hell...and we're getting to the point were people are not going to take it anymore." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30yxHqSUva8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcmJ8v9ZwC0&NR=1 Second "ad" video is much better. The first is pure cheese. I hope they are running the good videos on TV. I.e., the ones with Ron Paul at the debate, not the ones with the fake people.
No, you aren't. You're intentionally trying to inflame and provoke, which is what seems to fly around here, but it got this forum DDos'd once, and I thought you guys would have learned your lesson. The harassment needs to stop. I've read your blog, and I know where you get your information, it's from people whose sole purpose is to attack Ron Paul online, not to spread campaign news. This may be a joke to you, something to antagonize other forum members over, but the campaign is serious to me, and the consequences of losing are significant to all of us. For the last time, this is for campaign and grassroots updates. Not for unsubstantiated slander or to editorialize Ron Paul supporters as "holocaust deniers". That's insulting to me and I consider it a personal attack.
