There is some problem with PMs. They are just disappearing.

 

Hi people. I have a problem regarding private messages.
I have PM a guy called AoNie, and he just keeps sending the same message over and over again that makes no sense 2 me,so I just delete them.
I added him to ignore list even and still I can see that darn message coming from him.WHY?
Anyway,since I received the PM from this AoNie dude my PM messaging system gone bad, I mean I see pop`ups like "you received a new PM from etcuser" and when I go to inbox i see nothing,and when I refresh I see the message and when I try to open, it dissapers.

Anyway,my PM messaging system is totally screwed and it all started when sending that message to AoNie.what is the problem?what can be done?

And another thing, right now the private message section says

,still,when I click on it I see no private messages !and I know i received a message from a friend I just PM`ed

I think it goes like this, each time I receive a PM i see the pop`up about the message and when I click I see in my inbox that message from AoNie, it is like a freekin` virus, it modifies all my income messages.

 

yes i got the same error myself! refresh it or hit back and again click! i did it a few times and the image opened!

 

I know what exactly is the problem.

When data is fetched from the database by the php scripts, the database in 50% of the cases gives data from a time yesterday. This causes many of the threads, replies to disappear and a thread, pm or an attachment which was created today.

I really am not able to explain. Will try tomorrow morning.

 

I always got pop up about new message from message which I already deleted, viewed or replied. I try to delete it but it come back. This always happen in previous message I've got. If I delete message #46 then #45 got pop up instead and so on. I had reset and clean up my temp files already but it didn't help.

 

thats awful, why would something like that happen.
gee, i don't know, but the other 50 people who have already posted about this might know.

but you would of had to look around and see all the other posts about this.

I am assuming the same issue is happening.

Maybe it has to do something with last night downtime.

I have couple of PMs with Invalid Link, some unsubscribable subscribed thread and Threads with a few replies.
I am not facing any login problem though using FireFox 2.0.0.8.
BTW, where is Shawn? may be he could clear us.

 

yes! that's exactly the problem
it is showing an earlier data, that's why the threads says 2 replies, that actually as a lot of replies!
hope they fix it soon!

 

I think one of their db servers are down

 

Pages are reloading 5-6 times and taking up to a minute to load.

It shows me last logged in on Oct 24 and the even though I've read the PM it keeps alerting me

 

sounds like the RAID is out of sync

 

My PM system is completely screwed up.. It shows I have 5 PMs unread, and 11 Read (and this is true.. I know i'm talking to people) but when I click Private Messages it says I have 0 inbox and 0 sent.. Which is definatly not right.

 

I'm getting the multiple page reloading and unread msgs popup, starting to get really annoying. Come on Sean sort it out!

 

I usually have to reload the index 2-3 times to see all the new replies. Other than that, I have been lucky.

Please see my thread. I have a lot of responses there. Now I need to reply them. But the multiple quotes were not working. So, I wrote it manually and some 2 DP members gave me 2 infractions on that and said I was bumping my thread.

Tell me if DP is not working properly and my responses need clarifications there. So, what I wrote is a mistake?

I am really very sad. Also on other replies they gave me 2 more infraction and said I was bumping my thread.

Could anybody here pls explain me what I did wrong?
