While doing some research on BANS I have stumbled upon on this wordpress plugin that I think works like BANS but with less cost. With this script you can both have a blog and a ebay niche store. Here's my site; http://www.hdvcamcorderdeals.com/ This is plugin that I just want to share; http://www.wiredstudios.com/phpbay/phpbay-pro-ebay-software-to-display-auctions.html
It's basically a PHP RSS parser. In fact, that's all it is You can do this yourself with a tiny bit of PHP knowledge.
Its easy to install too. You will have an ebay niche store in no time. If you have been using or planning to use wordpress as or a blog or as a cms then you are for a treat. The wordpress integration is really awesome though I have not used the API version. Here's my other site using it; w*w.hoodiabalance-review.com/hoodia-deals-ebay
yes it can be done easily but when there's product that can also make it easy specially for non-coders like me then I will go for the latter.
As noted some folks on DP can't script (myself included). I'm wondering if this script can be designed to show on one or two auctions.
I totally agree, and that's why i allways recommend this kind of scripts like BANS or phpBay or other similiar scripts (almost all are good).
Anyone with half a brain (or even an entire brain!) can learn the basics of PHP in a day, and be writing nerdy eBay scripts within a week. It's not magic, it's not a secret, and it's not difficult. Don't be intimidated by PHP! Get your fingers dirty!
So once you have an eBay site, how do you get good traffic to it? matthewlyle, I like your site. Are you getting enough traffic to it to make a steady amount of money at all?
95% organic SEO. And a lot of it seems to be "I'm ready to buy" traffic. I tried PPC, but I had no idea what I was doing
Is that because of your niche, or is it from keyword-loading, etc? (SEO) If you used AdWords I'm not surprised
Mostly because of certain niches... with very small targets. Creating sites based on your own weird hobbies can pay off
That's incorrect. I've spent an enormous amount of time creating and enhancing both versions of this script, and I can assure you that a "tiny amount of php knowledge" is grossly inaccurate. As is the statement that it's just an RSS parser. I can appreciate someone wanting to earn money with affiliate links in their signature, but I've worked too hard on phpBay Pro and spent untold hours supporting my customers, to let such claims go unchallenged. @sakto - very nicely done! Good to see some sites that are using the script!
@ GTech - I wasn't pushing my sig link to BANS, in fact I was doing the opposite. I was suggesting that people can learn to do this themselves for free.
PhpBayPro and BANS are different beasts. What I like most with PHP Bay Pro is the seamless integration with wordpress. This is good for bloggers who wants earn some from ebay. I have about a dozen of blogs and all of them has phpbay in it. I have even utilize it in my travel blog; totallycebu.com/cebu-ebay-items
My 7 day old site has just earned commissions. Its word press blog with PhpPbay Pro converted to a niche site. I'm Just excited.
