Your directory and domain extensions

I would like to know if you have bought most of the common domain extensions for you directory/s, as you know from time to time someone can grab an extension if you dont already own it, and to be honest theres no sense in complaining about someone else grabbing them if you didn't yourself.

Have you grabbed a few anyway for your own peace of mind or do you see it as uneccessary spending?

PS: For christs sake dont hijack this thread too, its a nice and normal peaceful question.

 

For a directory, I'd recommend doing so. For an average online business I would only get the major .com/.net/.org and forget the rest (although they are cheap)

 

Do you mean that if you have
abc.com
and someone buys
abc.net

jackweb2020, yeah it sounds like a good idea to me, not too expensive considering its yearly.

.com
.net
.org

If there are strong suggestions to buy others then I may do so as well.

Yes many of the guys do that, by buying all the TLD's for that domain. It is actually a goo idea.

 

I will end up doing it, it means theres at least one less worry.
