Hello there guys, I've posted it also in "Widgetbucks proof" Thread, But it was on Page 12 so not many people got to see it, Sorry if it annoys anyone: So Here is my Full review about this program, I'll make it short: WidgetBucks - Owned by Mpire.com: Many people still wonders if WidgetBucks is a scamm site or not, Well They are not a scamm site, I can asure you that, They do pay and they will pay you, BUT, WidgetBucks is the kind of companies who keep looking for a reason to suspend your account, So they won't have to pay you, They will catch you by the inch for any wrong thing you did and accuse you for not following their TOS, Then they will suspend your account , Delete your referrals and ofcourse won't give you a cent. I've been suspended 2 times from WidgetBucks with no right reason, The first time I've been accused of doing fraud clicks - Got my account back, The second time, They added a new 'rule' to their TOS (Which i've never seen before) which do not allow you to place Widgets on non-english sites, Then they banned my Account once again with no right reason, Deleted 22 active referrals, and nearly 500$. Ofcourse I Emailed them, But they never really answer my question: "Why did you suspend an account with 22 Active referrals with only 6 hours warning (Which I never saw) for placing Widgets on non-english site Which is a new rule?" They never really answer that question, I even offered them to take all my income (Delete the 500$) and just leave me with my referrals, But what do you think? they care? they don't want me to earn 10% commissions for each of my Active referrals because it will cost them. So they just rely on their new rule and tell me that they can't retrieve my account because I broke one of their TOS rules (Which wasn't there when I signed up - remember). Now please let me show you what I mean: This is a Mail that they sended to me , Read closely, The red words are my comments: Hi Eliran We've looked at your account. We see that a significant portion of your clicks have been rejected as invalid in the regular audits of all accounts (ok I'll agree with that). We did give you several hours warning [/B](While I was asleep) before suspending your account, rather than suspending it immediately, because we wanted you to have time to adjust your sites (Yeah right). We also have to balance our responsibilities to our merchants for deliverying quality traffic to them, and quickly shutting off traffic that does not comply with our terms (Ofcourse... It's all about your merchants, It has nothing to do with you and that you don't wanna pay). Our terms of service, related to sites that are not primarily English languages, have not changed since our launch (Pure lie). The relevant section is Exhibit A, WidgetBucks Program Policies, under the heading "Language". It says: "The Widget code may be placed on pages with content primarily in English. Widgets must not be displayed on any page with content primarily in an unsupported language, without prior written consent from Mpire.". Please refer to our terms of service at: http://www.widgetbucks.com/terms.page. ---- As you can see, They put it all on their new rule. Now look what a big douche bags (excuse me for the word) they are, This is what they wrote on their blog a few days ago: As we've continued to evaluate impression, click and conversion data during WidgetBucks' first 3+ weeks, we've observed that a majority of non-English language sites are delivering a consistently low conversion rate. With our merchants and advertisers predominantly based in the U.S., this is not a surprising phenomenon. And as an advertising network, we have a responsibility to our merchants to deliver quality traffic that has the highest likelihood of conversion to sale. As a result, we've updated our program policies to no longer approve or accept non-English language sites into the WidgetBucks ad network. See our Program Policies here. This policy change enables us to consistently provide high-quality clicks and traffic to our merchants, and in turn, continue offering our competitive revenue-per-click (RPC) to our publishers. Thank you for your continued efforts and input. - Dean ----- Look closely what he sais: "We have UPDATED our program policies" Didn't they say in my mail that their TOS havn't changed since the launch? I smell some crap in the air. ----- Also, From some unmentioned reason, WidgetBucks are deleted from Google search, No one really knows the reason for it, But I really wonder why. ----- Conclusion: WidgetBucks Will pay you, If you'll survive all their suspensions and false accuse. ----- If I won't get my account back by sunday, I am going to legaly sue mpire.com for being a Fraud site, False accusing and abuse of innocence people in their program. So look forward Mpire, Because this time you messed with the wrong guy, And Believe me I'll invest a lot of money for taking you down. ----- I'll be happy to hear any comment about this review either here or in PM and will be happy to answer it. Regards, Eliran.
ouch! Lying about a supposed fix for slow loading times in order to fix their Google issues should also be mentioned. I've given up on them purely because they are so slow and hold up the rest of the page loading.
Wasted you convinced me with your widgetbucks proof and I have actually signed up ... Its not your fault though ... I will see how it goes ... thanks for the update
Wasted, you really convinced me buddy, I have dropped the idea of using it on my blog & also on my image hosting site. It seriously looks like a big scam now & they have also been slapped by Google.
I'm pretty sure that they will pay out to some members that they couldn't find a reason to suspend them though.
What I can see from the first time you got banned is that you had fraudulent clicks and any network are more likely to prefer to keep their merchants rather than the publishers that are producing these fraudulent clicks. Merchants are far harder to get that publishers. For the second time, it seems they have lied there, but if you received that email telling you they have updated their TOS, then why didn't you read it straight away unless they sent it after they band you which I doubt they would. About the slow loading. I have also mentioned this. This is the worst ads network when it comes to loading ads onto publishers sites. The loading speed is terrible and infact it takes more time to load each ad than a large majority of sites whole pages without the ads.
wow that does sound like some shady stuff. i guess they didnt think of the non us sites that were going to be advertising with them. that tells me they rushed it and were unprepared. so you expect anything with them , especially uncalled bans.
I've noticed the speed of the Ad loading does not effect the speed of my page loading. My page loads first and then ads load after.
I really liked it @Wasted: Please dont waste time to bring mpire down, either loads of publishers (Who are certainly earning high from legitimate sites, not from non-english sites ) will get over you
Didn't you saw how they advertised on Adwords? They just abused Adsense. don't put a line about them. They seems non original guys.
The problem is they will screw alot of legitimate publishers over if they are allowed to constantly change their TOS and then lie about it.
How do you know they are legitimate publishers? I saw loads of people says they haven't placed adsense in bad place, but adsense has banned them, what do you think about them? About non-english sites: It was in their TOS from first actually, though they have started banning for that reason recently, but which is prohibited in their TOS, why should i go and place the code there?
OMG this isn't a review this is a public bashing of WB. They have been updating us for ages and saying that Non-English sites need prior written approval - why didn't you apply prior of banning or after you heard ? Sem-Advance was right on the money prior to the recent Blog Post yesterday - he said that there was a loop in the index page that was messing around with with Googles Spider - hence why the index page wasn't in Google. The hidden link is being pushed around to the masses as being at fault - um plenty of sites do this with JS and Flash - if a computer or browser doesn't have flash capability then the text is displayed. Again sem-advance was right on the money there's no hidden link, you wont get banned from Google - lies and crap being fed to the masses. All it takes is one guru to pay out on the company and all the posse get around and take it as fact - the guru guys isn't always on the money (he just wants the money) - his purpose is to feed you with stories and gain himself traffic ie. "Oooo So and So says this Look" here's his link. The only ones I see complaining are the ones who are A) Banned or B) in direct competition C) Trying to profit from the sudden interest. I understand that you're p1ssed who wouldn't be.
Thanks for update , I was feeling that there is something wrong ( too good to be true ) I'm glad that I've don't sign up with them
I am very confused, I keep hearing mixed results from everyone ... when do the first people get paid ? Mid December ?
My site has lots of traffic but I removed widgetbucks. The click amounts always jump and I have the same feeling that they'll all out to get people off their money despite using people to promote their service. My mind scream 'scam' when I search for widgetbucks but cannot find it on google. their site keep changing, at first they have a sample ecpm price, then they remove them, too little payment information. so now there is $50, I'm going to suspend them and see when they send me the $$
