if they do pay in december, all of the people who are waiting will join the network. That will be a lot more people and the network will just become stronger because of it.

I think Google is getting afraid of their competitors. their adsense program sucks. it has turned in to a penny ad revenue program.

Less than 0.00001% people would search Google for "WidgetBucks" but Google should be a fair play at least. I just visited WidgetBucks and don't see any reasons for them to be banned for their domain name words, like "John Chow" got before. I don't like WidgetBucks personally but I think they shouldn't deserve this. Google yet no banned them for Advertise via Google Adwords, don't filter any words against them like "Better than Adsense" but kick them out from organic listing, manually edit in my opinion. How accurate of search results could be trusted then? Since Google has unfair advantage and use it in a wrong way.

That is surely not the reason. That ads was not run by Widget Bucks. That ad was from a publishers to get some attension and get some referrals.

    Search for Widgetbucks in Google....

That is great, the "did you mean wetbacks" in google!!!

Where I come from, wetbacks is slang for fake/counterfeit money!!! I wonder if google have done this on purpose!

    guys, chill out.

WidgetBucks did something against Google's search policy. If you create blind links Google will ban you. Period.

Stop with all these conspiracy theories. WidgetBucks shouldn't have done something so careless...and Google has the right to punish them for trying to cheat like that.

You bothered me with your being bothered about the home page being missing here is one reason I can see

    <script src='/script/s_code_PRODUCTION.13329.js' type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"></script>

Seems they might have tossed the bot into an infinite loop looking for a script at '

    ;)

I thought that the hidden links purpose was for people that don't have flash capabilities turned on, I use a few other widgets Like Swicki clouds and they just place the links under the tag cloud - pretty effective for back links - I don't know why WB doesn't just put a text link underneath (the widget) with our affiliate link instead.

I'm looking at the WidgetBucks code and there is no hidden link that I can see.

WidgetBucks links back to its site & adserver just like Google does for Adwords / Adsense and Yahoo does for YSM / YPN.

Again more people running around making up BS to drive traffic to their sites....and whoever said the WB was suffering Dupe Content does not understand the difference between a filter & a penalty or SEO.....

The old code was changed and the hidden link was dumped (apparently) :

    That was the old code.

Yeah but lets face it. Sites do this all the time and it take forever for Google to Ban some of them. Google could have definately been looking for a reason.
