Want to break into top 10 this weekend...

Please don't mind the huge big img here.

My site on free myspace layouts is sitting at 13th position waiting to breakout into top 10. See the screen shot [IMG]below.

I want to see that it slips in by another 3 positions by this weekend.
Do you suggest any ways to make it happen? (the site is pretty ugly looking, pls don't bother)

The traffic is another issue, it has been consistent I am adding content almost regularly but barring this, I don't know of a thing to do it.

    I appreciate any help/suggestion

    Thanks

everyone above me is depending on same terms / KWs; so traffic isn't the question that I am thinking about. I just want to make it slip thru to the 10 positions.

BTW, overture tells that there are 91K searches for that term everymonth.
    Thanks.

Well you've certainly got enough keyword visibility on the blog, so it would be worth while spending some time getting anchor text back links.

Get more backlinks, but I don't think it's gonna happen by this weekend. However, I wish you the best of luck. :)

I am confident of making it to there but don't know how. I lost a big list of 100s of tabulated categories which I had on the first page. That was helping my users navigate easily and increase my page views per visit. I think, that would have helped a lot had it been there.
I will update, on this thread, when I reach there.

PS: thanks to all who suggested.

OVT often gets words the other way around. Its a well known fact. Im sure that term gets 0 searches a month.

You need to get links with that anchor text... you can start from your DP signature ;), then do link exchanges, submit to directories and/or buy links with that anchor.

If a software program told you to jump off a high rise building because its a fun thing to do......would you?

Common sense comes into play on occasion.. and common sense tells most people the term "free hot layout myspace" is probably never searched, and the numbers found by vlad230, are because of the OP doing a search for rankings.

:D Might want to check which keyword you used lol

Wrong, Overture gets words mixed up very often, people are more likely searching for "free hot myspace layout" or "hot myspace layout" but not "free hot layout myspace", that's not how natural English speakers structure search queries.

Oh my god, you are pretty pretty right. I checked up with adwords and google trends. Although trends has shown some searches, they are fast declining. And absolutely no data on adwords.

And to think that I was pursuing that phrase all these days...
It is horrifying to know that OVT still gives out out dated data.

I picked up these phrases from adwords, please someonetell me whether it's ok to target some of them? And if I can, I am afraid it will not be without loosing the present traffic?!

    Thanks in advance.
PS: I don't know whether I can make it by my deadline

As such, adwords doesn't give specific search numbers; I think one needs to go by their green patches only?

OK, but what beats my understanding is how come I scored as high as I do for that phrase if the search volume is so less?

Actually all of the tools are estimations only. They mix actual and best guess to come up with numbers.

True stats could be found with Hitwise or Comscore,ut even that is speculation I think.
