If google changes its PR algorithm! What would be the algorithm now? Is it focus on the domain age not by PR. here are some links I gathered about the change of PR algorithm and some sites who experience the dropped! http://www.dailyblogtips.com/google-changing-the-pagerank-algorithm/ http://searchengineland.com/071024-093938.php http://news.stepforth.com/blog/2007/10/google-pagerank-update-could-punish.php http://www.searchnewz.com/topstory/...ePageRankUpdateinGoogleToolbarsWorldwide.html
Yes, Google might have changed its approach towards the high ranking websites. I am wondering whether this update will last for more time or is it over. Google has now lowered the ranks of many of the big sites. Will Google be targeting the lower PR sites next?
We can identify if the PR still really matters on the SERP by tracking the sites who experience the drop. If they have an astonish performance before the update happen then after or while the update is happening. lets compare them. By that we can conclude that google change its algorithm and PR doesn't really matter now! Hope you get what I mean!
it could be!Lets just wait what google would say! http://www.searchnewz.com/topstory/...ePageRankUpdateinGoogleToolbarsWorldwide.html
Something is happening, but really I dont know if they are updating the "PR algo", or something like that...
Yup! and most sites buy text links from a High PR! I think google change its algo to stop buying and selling text links cause its against the rule of google!
Why changes in algorithm? May be just correcting and PR dropped on some sites because google begun use other factors.
Uh..people? All that has extensibly changed is the TOOLBAR PAGERANK on a whack of sites (for whatever reason) - to date no one has reported any major change in their rankings nor traffic... though they wouldn't would they? My point is that all we know is the 'external PR' or ToolBar PageRank has been mucked with... there is no evidence that actual PAGERANK as a calculation has been affected with the latest fiasco.... Don't go getting all worked up... there is more static than signal at this point.
Its just a mere prediction or conclusion, I based it on this link http://www.searchnewz.com/topstory/...ePageRankUpdateinGoogleToolbarsWorldwide.html if you're going to think about it! How can you stop paid links if you're iin google's foot?
You can't, the truth is, the search engines want relevancy, I bet search engines will go for larger, more content-rich sites that are highly linked to. I don't know how you would combat paying for text link ads. The truth is, PR is the center of Google's algorithms and the status of PR importance I don't think will ever change. We're all obsessed with PR and PR = traffic, stop getting worked up. Don't be paranoid that Google is out to get all SEOs by getting rid of every tactic, pretty much all tactics work except the very black-hat Even those tactics work in certain situations =o)
Its true that gogole wants relevancy. Another factors are outgoing link and excessive incoming link from sites and blogs.
ok! I won't argue! Its all about relevancy! and the core of google's SERP is PR that what your said! The things that I said are just my opinion about the changes and thoughts on how to stop paid links! cheers!!! lol
You're right, David I just checked on problogger.net... from a fall of PR6 to PR4....its now back up again to PR6... It appears indeed there is a muck up with the ToolBar Pagerank... cheers, sitemarker
I sincerely hope you are right. I've spent over three years steadily building personally-written content. It apparently paid off in this toolbar PR export with a PR increase. I'm curious how many of the PR-decreasing websites are primarily made up of links rather than content.
thats what I'm talking about! But the core of the SERPs on google's SE is PR! like what MarketingGuru said!
