Is anyone experiencing slow sales on clickbank. i promote registry cleaners and its been slow lately. is it because halloween?
Registry cleaners have an horrible reputation. Mainly because their biggest promoters send auto-spreading viruses (Aka Is-that-you? on MSN) that bug your computers, messes up your registry and every 5 mins, close all your applications and pop-up a warning message saying "You have registry problems! click here for a free scan" that you can only remove by clicking the "OK" button, wich sends you to the cleaner's scan page of the affiliate. Thats some awesome marketing: Give the problems free Sell the solution for 60$. Illegal, but those guys are making millions. ....All jerks..... With christmas coming, i suggest you sell things that are most likely to be given as gifts. Toys, Games, Electronics such as Ipods....etc
I've yet to notice a discernible drop in affiliate driven sales of a product of which I'm the vendor that happens to be a software product that's in the same general orbit as registry cleaners. Exilus raises a good point about some of the marketing practices that are used by some (not all) players in this particular niche. I distinctly recall a now defunct website operated by someone who later became an good acquaintance of mine called "Passthison.com" which was purported to be involved with somewhat deceptive practices along the lines of what Exilus mentioned in his post. Anyway, a short term variation from the sales volume that you've become accustomed to shouldn't necessarily be cause for panic, but if I were you I'd conduct a quick checkup to ensure that everything over which you have direct control is still setup the way it should be.
sales tend to fluctuate... just in case I'd check the vendor's landing page to see that there are no problems. Otherwise if 2 days out of the month your sales are slow, that's normal.
for some reason i get 5 days in a row with zero sales! This happened at the start of last payperiod and this payperiod.. I would get good sales then nothing for 5 days straight then back into normal sales again. Its very annoying, if it happens at the start of next payperiod i will contact CB. Sales started again for me yesterday so i should be right for atleast 10 more days
The same here. One of my accounts had excellent sales for 2 days (+10/day), then nothing for 6 days and counting... I have no idea how this come , even due to the fact that I did more hoplinks. Very strange matter. All other accounts show consistent sales. I emailed them about this.
On one of my accounts, I have had zero sales since 21 Oct. I don’t understand. I have never had this long of a break without any sales all year. Under analytics, my hop count is still going strong, but zero sales. Maybe some error in the sales tracking or just the holidays.
Hi Yep funny how I watch all my accounts drop like the one below, considering I haven't had a no sale days for about 6 months. I just sit back and watch as my sales dive bomb on all accounts like the one below, watching your account for years you do know when somethings wrong, it's either the vendor playing games or clickbank having problems. Problem is in the purchase equation only the affiliate suffers... Total flat lined same traffic and same amount of hoplinks clicked, yet sales just keep dropping....
I've had no sales for the last 15 days and had thousands of hops. I'll have to do a bit of promoting again.
I might try to suggest a few things re sparatic gaps. 1. Understand your customers, learn their behavior (including gaps) for your product(s) or promotions. 2. Seems you are putting all your eggs in one basket, big reward but big risk. Diversify your campaigns and start to grow a slate that has opposing gaps so when one is dry the other is still pulling in income. 3. Chances are if you're ppc'ing you are getting bumped by new or stronger affs. Raise you CPC, get a few more domains and take up more sponsored spots. 4. Keep an eye on the products charts/cbtrends etc., sales cycles are unpredictable but with thousands of targeted hops perhaps that product will not move this time of year. 5. Take advantage of the season, if you have landing pages make then halloweeny then christmasy (new words?). Perhaps offer something cool/cute/related to the product and benefits to stick around. (perhaps others are already there and are cornering more sales). 6. Analyze your sales, where did most of them come from area wise? What areas and timeslots bought most? Focus your adspend on those times/places more. Cheers hope these help you a bit. Norb.
hi, only today? as i recall you had the same problems long time ago since the clickbank update. do you ever managed to get your sales back?
