I'm only obsessed with it in the sense the higher the PR the better link exchanges you can get, in that sense it really benefits my sites, other then that I'm not fussed.
Definitely obsessed. I check daily and I read every single update posted on here. Now that I'm just getting into the whole pagerank thing, Google decides not to update it..
I don't pay attention to my PR. I check it about once every few months just to see if it's changed, and I don't do anything differently either way. What I do care about is traffic and revenue. If I see a sudden change in either of them I'll try to figure out what's going on immediately.
As of now I'm not more interested in PR. For me it has no value. I would rather promote my site for more traffic than bothering myself about PR issues.
PR does matter, i don't give a sh*te what people say...it does! 3 reasons 1. you can sell links easier and for more $ if your site has PR 2. you can create links off high PR sites quicker than non PR sites 3. To establish a new site, you need some links with PR However great serps = great traffic = money So serps can be more important I am slightly obsessed with PR and check often when a PR update is due, its kind of a reward to see what your new sites will get after all the hard work
I check it monthly, if that. I figure if I've got a well-designed site with good content, that's the best I can do -- it's pretty much out of control what Google does to my PR. But I also don't sell links.
People always seem so worried about their PR, I'm always worried about my SERPs and thats my main focus, I hardly even think of PR anymore.
I am not really obsessed with the PR of my pages, but I do get upset when Google lowers it. Frankly, PR means nothing. I have a site that ranks in #1 position for "collection of digital products" keyword. The site is in first place out of 40+ million results. This site with the index being PR2 beats sites like adobe that has PR10....
Straight from Danny Sullivan who got it from the horse's mouth: This is more than just pagerank demoting, folks.
SERPs aren't being affected, so any smart webmaster really wouldn't even care about this pagerank change.
