The disappearance of WidgetBucks from Google search is a big slap to widgetbucks. It is a hard slap that now users will be afraid to use them. If you even search widgetbucks.com, it has no presence!!! It seems that widgetbucks did something wrong.
They did do something wrong, John Chow had a blog post about this today. Blogstorm thinks it's a duplicate content issue, while GotChance.com is saying that it's a hidden-link issue. Basically the widget bucks animation covers a link back to the widgetbucks site. Whatever the case, Google really did hit them hard.
Hmm, is anyone thinking of Google, FINALLY, got afraid of (fair) competition? WidgetBucks are still shown on AdWords though.
Is it just me or is anyone else getting a but pissed off with teh way GooGle has decided to run the internet?
Google is not running the internet. People are going to Google because they find their services useful. Perhaps less than 0.01% Google visitors go to Google to look for Widget buck. By the way, what is Widget buck?
it is adnetwork which was doing great but I think Know it is gona go down. As slap from google and most webmaster taking there ads off! but i still have there link in my signature lol!
I think not ranking on google will not make much difference to their bottom-line, if they make their first payment to publishers. What do you think?
Goog probably did a hand edit to try to eliminate a rising new competitor...well maybe not, they're still so small in comparison. I see Shoemoney is spreading FUD that sites will see a PR drop if you use WidgetBucks. Probably mad that they snubbed him when we was trying to dump AuctionAds.
i dont think them getting kicked out of google is going to affect whether or not they pay us. People dont go through google >> widgetbucks >> my site >> my widgets >> advertiser , they go google >> my site >> my widgets >> advertiser.
Ya. Shoemoney is trying his best to burry the network but if widget bucks makes their first payment in December, even 100 shoemoneys can't do that.
