According to old calender today is great October revolution day. This day in human society had made great changes in the leadership of Lenin. Russian revolution is great because the revolution first time made a human society. So let it be celebrate to it and remember once it.
I'm not too fond of communism and don't see anything great about the russian revolution. It later provoked the death of millions of people and the screwing up of russia, eastern europe and a bunch of other states
Then which revolution was great? For your knowledge Only Russian people which was fought against fascism and Nazism and you can imagine what was the fascism and Nazism.
Russian Revolution wasn't that bad, they eliminated the tsars. Ended the War for Russia and all that. It wasn't until Stalin got to power when ppl started getting killed.
No Revolution or society has made in a day. Any revolution is results of people desatisfaction. When we calculate any historical achievement we see only success but we don't think that every society and revolution is the result of our long struggle. We can see French revolution. After many decade struggle it has been successed in making captalist systme.
I would say the 1989 revolution here in Romania was pretty good for us. We got rid of the communists and we're slowly but surely making progress towards a functioning democracy
How are things in Romania now? I have visited Romania like 3 or 4 years ago and it was rough. How's it now with the Euro? (I was in Bukurest and Brasov)
The Russian Revelation started without Lenin and his followers were actually small minority and the government changed without Lenin being involved. Lenin was a "smart" politician that used the anarchy after the revolution and lack of organization among other groups to steal the revolution for his own group. His power hungry ideas was what caused the failure of revolution in later years.
