Is Google has changed its ranking criteria?

Can you tell me is Google has update in its alogrithoms because Now a days I am seeing many sites ranking has been dropped and PR also. Even my blog's keyword which was on top has been dropped.

 

Maybe backlinks you got have been devalued.

 

i think google has started to eliminate some of the paid links

 

I have not paid links and No back link but I had gotten my keyword in ranking but now they are not.

I think right now google going for big changes in PR Stretegy and Ranking Stretagy. As you know that this year google added so many features in Google Webmaster tools and also making somany changes like lable of supplemental index removed, make changes in adesense and also make change in adwords and also that for reciprocal links now we need execessive links. So i think google going for big update.

 

Google changes it algo everyday. What is right today, can be wrong tomorrow.

 

Get Relevant Links

I think you're wrong, I think people that have gathered up to many links are the ones being penalized, I don't know for certain that noone not buying links has been penalized, but there are some pretty compelling stories.

 

There's also some dishonest comments flying around too. Many are screaming blue murder. Yet, they are holding a bloodstained knife in there hands....LOL

 

It is a major update in algo as they have penalized sites which are selling/buying sitewide paid links..

 

yes they have started penalising sites with paid links.


Even if you have purchased a paid link rest assured big G would be penalising you

 

What I'm saying thuogh, is that in some cases Google was wrong. I buy and sell, and in my industry I have a decent idea who else buys and sells Some buyers went up, some that don't buy or sell went down. Maybe it's another algo change, or maybe (as mentioned in anther thread here) they lost value due to their own inner site linking between sites that one owner owns.

 

I don't 'think' it has been changed. One of my sites was ranking at #7 for a major keyword.

Went off the rankings and stayed at #384 for TWO bloody months.

Came back RIGHT UP to #7 just last week.
