I need some guidance as to how to set-up my website to sell my clickbank products to buyers of children's developmental storybooks and create an affiliate help centre with tools, advertisement emails, videos etc. My first question is: can it all be done on the same website? I.E. do I have a landing page, sales page, affiliate forum etc on the same website. or, do I just need a sales page for clickbank affiliates to promote with a separate site for the affiliate tools? I just bought easyclickmate to handle the affiliate side of things, should I be running everything through that? I.E. just setting up a single sales page for each product and letting clickbank sellers do the rest? I intend to change my storybooks site at: http://www.storybooksthatteach.com to a landing page and single pages of my own clickbank products, something like this: http://www.storybooksthatteach.com/test/ which is a landing page for prospective buyers of the books which would be parents, teachers etc and a sales page at: http://www.storybooksthatteach.com/test/gallery.htm I will adapt the template shown to just be the landing page, sales page and affiliate forum link; I am still working on the sale copy. Should the affiliate part of the site just be a phpbb type of forum? I want to keep in touch with the parent sellers and really promote the storybooks to help children's development. Any help as to how to set up, or change the site would be great I intend to offer 75% commission and would also appreciate any help with pricing for 3 PDF digital storybooks. Have a great day. Hi Paul, There's a lot to tackle in your post, but I'd like to offer some guidance with regard to the first question you raised above. In my experience, no material disadvantage arises from hosting your affiliate resource center on the same server/domain name as your sales page. You will sometimes get into a bit of a discussion with some ClickBank affiliates over the practice of including a *LINK* to the affiliate resource center from the sales page (irrespective of whether or not the resource center is hosted on the same "domain" or somewhere else). The underlying resistance to this type of link stems in part from a belief that it makes it too easy for a customer to sign-up for the affiliate program and buy through their own link, etc. Hope this helps a little bit, Nathan
You can make a larger site and devote a page as a pitch page for a product. Clickbank needs just one pitch page and one thank you page. You can also link the pitch page only on your site and get sales from your traffic. The forum can be about every topic about your site including the product.
My 2 cents. 1. It doesn't matter if the sales page/aff center is on the same site/server, as long as they are linked to one another - anyone can sign up to any affiliate program and buy from themselves with CB, don't let this scare you. It's a balance of whether you want to promote and automate a sales team vs. risk losing a few bucks (but still making some). 2. The more marketing material you can make for your aff's the better. Take a look at my sigs and aff resources, you'll see they are plentiful, and am always adding more. You want to make it as simple an effective as possible for aff's. If they have to make assets/banners/articles/ppc camps/pop codes/etc. chances are they just might! However having them ready, and linked from the same site will be your best bet. I even have affiliates that started out as customers (not uncommon). 3. Yes, setting up a forum/board is a good idea however keep in mind that it is yet another daily task or 'thing' you have to look after. Your aim if I am not mistaken, is to fully automate the business, and provide support where needed without spreading yourself thin. 4. Even though CB just needs a quick sales page, I would still make more than one page (for various reasons). 5. Do not divert from your aim - to monetize these products, I'd forget about adsense or other offers (only on your thank you page, meaning when they pay, offer a few 'recommended' links once they buy... they just proved themselves profitable so monetize them as much as possible on the spot but not prematurely). Adsense is pennies, you goal is dollars. 6. Get yourself an aweber account and start collecting your data/emails, autoresponders/newsletters etc. and keep in touch with your audience (incase you haven't thought of doing it, or if you are not for it, highly recommended that you have opt-ins on everything you do). This even comes in handy when recruiting and shaping your aff's. Cheers and best of luck with biz today. NC.
Hi Everyone, Thanks for all the replies. Nathan: my main goal is to get affiliates to promote my storybooks; I am really passionate about our children being the best that they can be; so me losing a few dollars does not matter. What I was thinking, was to add a bonus step by step Ebook explaining how to make money from my product; i.e. "Make Money Helping Children Be The Best That They Can Be", or something like that? Any thoughts along this line appreciated. In other words switch my focus from my storybooks to helping affiliates make money. Eric; I would like my site/pitch page to be the most advantageous for my affiliates to make money, to achieve my main goal to promote my storybooks. I am totally new to clickbank and think making money is the main goal for clickbank affiliates, so I could set up my products to appeal to both an affiliate and a buyer. I am wondering if it is better to just have a sales page with a make money ebook bonus with links to the affiliate offer, once they purchase the product package? NC: I need a sales team for my storybooks! I can easily make promotional stuff for the affiliates geared towards making money from selling a money making package (the bonus), but I would like my storybooks to get into the hands of parents, or teachers, which involves the buyer printing the PDF storybooks. Again, I would have no problem including a back end money making offer to appeal to clickbank marketers, but I would like to offer a child development daycare program, which I am sure would not appeal to affiliates, but would appeal to parents etc? Not sure how to set that up to appeal to the affiliates? I need the affiliates in the hope that some of them may promote the storybooks; ultimately this is my dilemma? Thank you all for your feedback. Have a great day. Paul in Calgary
