Anybody doing, different ads for totally different websites, in a single adgroup? It works fine or what?
Haven't tried it, but obviously only one ad will show at a time. So long as the ads display url and destination match, it should work.
hey yes, i know only one ad will show at a time. but i want it 50:50 exposure to both ads? Is it fine? or may be a problem for already successfully running adgroup? Please if you are experienced in doing this, reply
you can set your ads to share the exposure equally. i don't know if it will mess up your successful adgroup though. i would think it would lower your quality score on some of those keywords... then again, i've never tried this.
Can you give a reason why do you think it will lower my quality score? I am bidding $9+ for my keywords. I am only worried that adding other websites' ads in a ad group successfully running will do fine? because in case it stops that very adgroup, because of any conditions, will make a problem for me.
I just started to do the same in a new adgroup with one keyword for 2 different ads and sites. The problem is the second ad(with different webpage) appears as active but not yet approved. If it will be, I'll track both sites conversions and then choose the better working.
Your quality score is made up of a few things, including your bid. Whether or not your advert pertains to the keyword and the content on the landing page it points to are other factors in the score. If you have two different adverts, pointing to two different locations on the same keyword, Google may (or may not) consider one landing to be less pertinent than the other, which may lower your score (increasing cost). All I am saying is that it might boost your CPC for that particular keyword if the content on the two landing pages is different, and by different I mean one page being less pertinent.
Now both my ads are working fine. Text ads. For one search it is shown the first ad with 1 landing page, for other search on same keyword the second ad with different landing page. The quality score wasn't changed yet but sometimes changes come after a while.
