it may not be necessary for you, but it is for me. it is VERY useful for me to know that no changes are happening. this is exactly why i check this thread every now and then.

everyone, please keep posting, "nothing" especially if someone else has posted "something". if i see 5-10 posts with "nothing" then i can quickly sum up the situation, and go back to work. it also means i won't waste 10-15 minutes checking the PR of all my sites.

not so fast... you're the one who ain't adding value to the thread buddy.

by the way, for my sites, no changes. i haven't checked the deep pages, but i think i can assume they are unchanged, thanks to the kind people who made the effort and posted "no changes".

try to post when you actually got your PR CHANGED on your site...the "nothing changed" replies only gets this thread very big and crappy. If you really want to help people, post relevant information here, all the members here own at least a site and they can see for themselves if the PR didn't changed.

Last time i checked nobody gave any gifts for useless posting around here..

I've never gotten any gifts for useful posting either...

It's already against the DigitalPoint rules to make a post that doesn't add any value, or to just increase your post count... So if you see a post like that, just report it using the "Report" button ([IMG]) instead of making another post just to complain about it...

Makes sense, so if we see a post saying only "no update here" ... and probably having a link in their signature being the only reason for such an inept contribution .... we should report them :D ... works for me.

    Hi

Google is updating again. I just found the -1 trend happened once again to my website today.

My websie URL is http://www.bollyball.com which went from PR2 to PR1 today.

In the previous update my website went from PR 3 to PR2. Is google planning to remove PR system or its some kind of penality.

For proof I am adding a snap shot of Google DC's check at mypagerank.net for my website

My sites haven't received a PR boost or a PR drop... Their PR remains the same. :(

I checked John Chow's blog and it's down to PR 4!

Your question of my expectation of Page Rank increase? Page Rank doesn't depend much on content and outgoing links although it is a factor.

Page Rank is a measure of link popularity and SERPs is a measure of content quality

What matters is Incoming Links and my site have got around 100 backlinks listed in Google now. It got PR3 with just 1 backlink listed in Google in July. So, I can surely expect a PR stability with these 100 backlinks if not an increase

Finally, its not an experience I am only having. Even John Chows Blog as told by Boardwalk, have suffered this -1 trend that Google has been showing for the past month or so

actually, a large number of outgoing links does reduce the percentage of link love that points back into your site via intra site links. If I have 99 outgoing links and only 1 intrasite link on every page, then the vast majority of my link power is passed to other sites. Too many outgoing links DOES effect your own page rank, because then you are passing most of it on to other sites. Lot's of intrasite links per page, with a few outgoing, won't hurt. The reverse will.

You are right it hurts but my website has a large number of Intrasite Links and not just OutGoing links.

Moreover, the fact is that its not an Individual experience but 100s of others have been experiencing the same

We all know that Google has targeted many websites with -1 Trend, last update

and only 2-3 weeks after it again goes for the -1 Trend for hundreds of websites

Even for the websites that has quality, unique content with a steady increase in the number of Back LInks

Some people say that its due to selling links or paid blogging.

But my point is that, if Selling Links and manipulating Page Ranks is the reason for this -1 Trend than Google must punish all the link directories out their first before making a run on Blogs and websites with quality unique contents.

If you have some other thoughts on this, you are most welcome.

One of my websites dropped from a PR3 to a PR2 today. I am doing sponsored posts on that blog, so I guess I've been penalized for it...
