My son & I have the same first name / last name but different middle initial. Can we both have PayPal accounts at the same US address? Will it cause problems with PayPal?

Write to Paypal about it but I believe it should not be a problem. Just make sure that both accounts get verified immediately. If they asked, just fax them the government issued documentations which establishes that you are in fact two different persons.

I believe it would be best to ensure that you do not do funds transfers between the two accounts or use them for the same purposes.

Popping in the SS number should also guarantee it. I think you have to do that anyway to get in the money market plan, if you are interested.

Yes definitely it should not have any problem if you let them know and show them the proofs about the different identities of both the persons.

I'm not sure why you would even post such a question here being that PayPal staff members do not hang out here. With any issue not just this one, if you've got a question regarding PayPal don't go asking people who don't work for PayPal. They can supply you with information, which is fine to a degree. But why wouldn't you want the most accurate information possible and know it is for certainty? And the only way to get the most accurate information is to go directly to the source: PayPal. Since PayPal provides the help, it would be wise to go ahead and use it. You'll be glad you did. ;)

You're kidding right? I mean you can't be serious because I would put that question into the hall of shame! LOL.

Read the descriptions of each section on this forum if you really don't know the answer to that.

just verified these accounts, by adding SSN and your bank information, and there will be no problem. They don't take address as primary key.
To avoid any problem/confusion, just verfied your accounts.

This area is designated for discussion of topics related to payment processing (merchant accounts, PayPal, etc.)

lol, then why can't Paypal discussions be in here? I know most people replying here are not Paypal employees, but WE COULD HAVE asked Paypal ourselves (in the past) of this same question and have gotten an answer we could share to this member.

So what's your beef about this thread??

 Nobody said PayPal discussion can NOT be discussed here. I know exactly what the description reads, why do you think I posted for you to read it? LOL. Hello??? Nevertheless, support related questions are not --- you know what? I've made myself clear already. If you can't understand, then that's just too d@#% bad. LOL. Read my blog in the recent posts and maybe just maybe it will help you out. LOL. :p
