Today the Adsense overview page has had issues with channels A few times in the past month I've gotten an "Adsense is currently down" error Google PR hasn't been updated since April The rankings for my sites are skyrocketing, then plummeting Supposedly there's something called "orion" about to kick in So, my question, do you guys think Google's up to something big?
That's a good question. You may be on to something. I'm in the same boat. My Adsense is still screwed up, and one of my sites has all but disappeared from Google (not in the top 200). Something strange is going on.
Orion, Onion.. Whatever it's called they had better implement it as soon as possible. Google's index is shrinking, cached pages vanishing or rolling back to month old data, Google News completely empty, Webmaster Tools link data going down, Adsense down and this is just in a week. However, the current Adsense issues are likely to be related to this where you will soon be able to make changes to your Adsense Ads without touching the code on your pages.
Also, verification for webmaster tools is not functioning. It says their "system is experiencing a temporary problem."
No probs, yeah it can't come too soon for people who have 10,000 static .html pages and want to change their site background color lol
Yeah they should planning to do something for sure, especially since people start to try Widgetbucks to findout it canbe adsense replacement or not. Maybe we could just wait and see.
Haha, I never thought of that! I wonder if it's going to have some kind of "channel format" or something...
From what i have heard, each Ad Configuration you generate it will have a unique ID like #123456 Then whenever you want to alter it, you just open the ID and make the changes and bingo it's modified everywhere on your site(s) where that ID is used. So similar to channels, but seperate from them.
So have mine, but there's been a ton of sites cached pages vanishing. Also the index is shrinking on alot of terms, for instance a term i'm #1 for had 130 Million results.. Now it's got 30 Million. I'd consider 100 Million a substancial drop.
Google is always on something and that something is normally very big given their huge financial strength.
Hopefully they will finally drop some pages I deleted in 2005. Mo matter how many time I used the removal tool LOL.. After few months they were popping up again...
