PR6 Blog for sale

I want to sell (actually transfer) the PR6 blog thesouthend.typepad.com

Starting price is $100, BIN is $250

    Some details:

-the blog was dropped (meaning that the previous owner decided to stop using it and he abandoned his typepad account) but as far as I can see this happened recently

-the blog has 65 pages indexed by Google, many with PR5! 270 pages indexed in Live, 436 in Yahoo (the difference is due to many photo pages indexed by Yahoo which don't appear in the other SE). You can recreate the pages based on the Google cache if you want. The Google cache date is mostly from the first weeks of august

-the blog has some good inbound links including one English Wikipedia link; th
e link: command in Google shows 910 links, 199 in Yahoo

-the blog theme was 'student newspaper'

-technorati shows '1,087 blog reactions' (posts on other blogs that link to this blog)

-typepad offers only paid accounts starting from $5/month or $50/year - you will have to pay this fee to keep the blog

I'm looking to either sell this fast or develop it myself if I don't find anyone interested.

Starting price is $100, BIN is $250

How are you able to take over his account without his permission. Is he on vacation and or how did you gain access to the login details ?

As I posted, the blog was dropped (meaning that the previous owner decided to stop using it and he abandoned his typepad account). This means that he stopped paying for the account and typepad canceled his account. Then I registered the account with the same name. There is NO connection to the old account other than the name

This is a GOOD pagerank. The reason you're seeing the warning is because the main blog page (for which you're checking the PR) is not indexed at this moment. Like I said, this is because it was dropped but when Google will come back and get it back in its index your tool will show a verified PR again - it's a matter of time and content. If you want some proof to my affirmations, check this page: http://thesouthend.typepad.com/tsenews/2007/03/lebanon_is_stuc.html
This is one of the many inner pages with PR (you may find page with PR5 in Google's index also)

You could be right....but NOT entirely right. I purchased a dropped fishing site 6 months ago ( on that exact time its was to go). Its showing the same PR but still cannot be determined as real. The best way to do about this is for us to wait until the 2nd week of November ( the next predicted Google PR update).
That way we can also tell if the site retains its PR at all....and a PR that can be determined as real.

I actually stopped believing predictions regarding PR some time ago - it's just a subject to fill the forums with comments and opinions and make unreliable tools.

The bottom line is that the PR may show as unverified in some online tools because the main page is not currently indexed but it's NOT a fake pagerank as the ones obtained by redirects.

If you are really interested what's going on you should understand how those 'pagerank verification tools' work. It's quite simple: they check the page version from the Google cache against the real page. If they match the pagerank is valid; if they don't match, this was certainly a redirect so the pagerank is fake; if the cached version does not exist, they cannot tell whether it's a match or not so they just say 'unverified'.

In this case though you could say the PR is true by the backlinks the site has.

Wont copying the articles from google's cache written by the previous owner be a copyright issue?

I was not referring to copying the articles. A better idea would be to see what URLs have pagerank, backlinks and possibly traffic and recreate them with your own content.

    News update:
    1. You might have noticed, there are a few threads on DP about a PR devaluation which affected a few blogs and directories the last days - this blog was untouched which is a good sign in any case.
    2. Doing a site:thesouthend.typepad.com in Google shows that Google started reindexing the site. the first result has a cache date of 13 Oct so if you will be adding more pages they will most likely get indexed as well soon.
