The ads were doing well for the past two weeks but now all of a sudden the CPM and CTR have decreased and there fore we are getting lower amount of money than before. The clicks have increased compared to before but we are getting less money even though we are getting more clicks. This is very unusual. What is the reason for this?

    2608 clicks $39

    last week 908 clicks $78

    please help me

Initially you will get more earnings and day by day it will come lower depends upon the conversion from your site..

Welcome to smart pricing, google thinks your clicks aren't worth much to their advertisers.

    1. Invalid clicks
    2. Bad smart pricing position
    3. Simply, CPC varies ;)

One week isn't enough to make conclusions, this happens to me from time to time (specially the first week of the month)

I try to evaluate things one month at a time. Weeks can vary... especially days... Stick to months and you'll be much happier... ;-)

There is no smart pricing position. Smart pricing is actually a raw word. All it means that your site is not converting to advertisers, so google lowered down your CPM and of course CPC.

You can come out of smart pricing if you improve your conversions.

Yes, you've been smart priced. Try Chitika if you write about products. ;) No smart pricing there.

You should give some more time to adsense. If this still then filter the ads that pays low.

Try filter ads to avoid ads which pay minimum bid

With that amount of clicks at less than $.02 per click, it's definitely not your niche, you've been smart-priced. I'm guessing you get a lot of foreign traffic. I would not advise sticking with Adsense unless you can find a way to get more lucrative visitors. As long as the clicks are not based on incentives, which would be against Google's TOS, they should be worth more than $.02.
