Heheheh, What a joke, On SitePoint, a member asked on a thread if anybody knows any blog directory lists And the member thanked me for it too, so obviously it was beneficial to the person who wanted the lists. Soon, I get a PM from somebody named stymiee What if I told them that I don't own that site. Furthemore, the problem is, Nobody reads those Advertise Forums they got on SitePoint, so it's pretty much a waste of money. I mean, it's hard to get replies from that forum as it is, I mean over here at DP, I get replies within minutes. At SitePoint it's more or less, days. I would gladly spend the money with them, but unfortunately It won't give me any results. Another thing, which struck me is that I've been a member here at DP almost 2 years, Not once was any of my posts deleted, modified or tampered with. I mean, I feel comfortable that my privacy is protected here at DP, probably because of the fact that DP is run under U.S. Laws and I trust and follow the laws of the United States. I don't know if it would be wise for me to participate in that forum, cause who knows, one day, all my posts could be gone. Well, it takes alot of time to write up these posts, and I guess they belong to a place which truly deserves them. They might have some Anthology Books, but personally after reading over the excerpts, I thought the stuff at amazon.com was higher quality and lower priced. As a DP member for 2 years, I'm almost certain that DP is the best forum on the internet.
Man I would have so blogged about this retard. I hate people like this so much! I think linking your own site when it can help the user is a good thing. If a users ask for links and you send him to a register page well that's different. I might go check out this site point and see how fast I can get banned. HAHA no issues your at digital point and it's the only place that matters
They should let the community decide whether or not the linked site is worthy and relevant to the question asked in the original post. It's that lack of faith and trust in the community that will always keep SP a distance 2nd to DP.
WE ALREADY KNEW THAT But I agree, SP is just not as good as DP! There is only one other place as good as DP, but I cant mention the name in fear of my post being deleted ( SIG ) so yeah

Agree 100%... I would have used sitepoint a couple times if they didn't have the rule "if you're hosting a contest here, you cannot hold it at other sites as well"...
SP is all about money... They just want to sell you their crap and charge you for more crap. Actually, this reminds me to have some words with them. They owe me £40 after my ad got deleted the second i posted it.
Sitepoint and DP are two different communities. Sitepoint attracts the rich webmasters and different members where DP attracts everyone.
They also sell books where DP doesn't. So comparing the two sites is like comparing Google versus Yahoo, right?

I think the DP Market is better and busier, and it's free. The Sitepoint, I don't think many people use it.
