I'm fed up with Paypal, are you?

That's it! I've run out of patience. Paypal don't reply to the contact form I sent, they keep messing me about etc

I've now switched over to google checkout but having read their forum, it appears to be I'm none the wiser. Although google checkout fee is cheaper than Paypal, they take away money from you without informing you and any explanations in case of a chargeback.

Does anyone recommend other payment processing website, friendly for the UK customer?

You can go with 2CO,Money Bookers as well though none of them beat paypal as paypal widely accepted.

I hate paypal too they say it takes 8 days to get my money into their account but that;s retarded. they took my money from my banking account 9 days ago. I see it on my banking account 9 days! what are they doing with my money for 9 days.

I think the best alternatives of PayPal would be E-Gold and Moneybookers. I use them three but I've got only 1-2 payments via MB and Egold since I'm selling online. I'm afraid Paypal is more widely used and I don't know why (more trusted?, easier to use?).

No matter what payment service you use, they have rules and the rules benefit some and do not benefit others. It is best to read the guidelines and rules of all the payment services and choice the one that best suits your needs. Just remember it is not always the fault of the payment service but the people are doing business with. Paypal is the most trusted and most popular because they are a proven company and backed by eBay. However, for digital services and sales, they do not offer any protection. You are then responsible for making sure you are dealing with a trusted person. If you deal with scammers, no service will meet your needs.

yea problems never end in paypal.i suggest e-gold to you as there is no charge-back risk in this system. However paypal is widely accepted so everyone does not use e-gold.maybe you can use exchangers for paypal payments.that is my idea.

    Thanks for your input everyone.

I had a look at e-gold website and I'm sure it isn't difficult to use but it looked complicated what with gold etc so I switched off. May be it's something to do with the design of the website which looked unappealing.

Moneybookers, may be but it isn't widely known. I certainly didn't know about it till you guys mentioned it.

Possibly 2CO which I've used before....

Well, you didn't know moneybookers but i must say it's no stranger ewallet, many ebayers use it on their auctions altough ebay don't like it since it's a competitor of paypal.

Just like ebayers who put jajah contacts or other voip contacts (ebay don't like it too since it's a competitor to their skype product)

Or you can compare too with google checkout, ebay don't accept that payment processor (once again, competitor of their paypal).

But why not try moneybookers? They have lower fees, it's easier to set up an account and it's becoming known more and more between european users. As i told you yesterday, almost every country in europe that have betting accounts use them. East european countries also have many shops that accept them

    http://www.moneybookers.com/app/directory.pl

Moneybookers can also be used to fund skype or other voip services.

you have flat rate of about 50p

by the way, what do you sell?

for me, e-gold is the best bet after paypal. But I do not know why most of us here rate e-gold more than paypal.

Whats most annoying about paypal is the refund option which sucks in most cases.. buyers will simply ask for refund..

The use your and thousands of such accounts to play overnight money markets. Such funds at times are also used to 'play the float'

Moneybookers and e-gold are two excellent alternatives to paypal. I particularly like the bank transfer option of moneybookers.

Romania was added to paypal recently. My account is 1 month old and I am still very happy with this. I waited for it years and now I can at least make my own deals and get paid fast. When you have to wait almost 2 months to cash a check in your country, believe me paypal is heaven :D

Paypals support is terrible. I recently had a payment come in and they closed my account because it was 'suspicious'. I then had to verify which im still waiting on them to deposit the few small amounts into my account. I was guaranteed it would happen by today. Call them up? Goes to the US!
The refund is a joke. I sold an item on ebay in the past, the buyer complained, paypal refunded them. I offered a full refund anyway but wanted my product back. I never got it back, so the buyer got a few product and a full refund. Tried to complain to paypal but ended up just giving up.
I wish there was a wider accepted alternative.

    lusoricas,

My site isn't based on adult or gambling content. I sell health products. Moneybookers in Euro http://www.moneybookers.com/app/help.pl?s=fees. We don't use euro in the UK and that has put me off to be honest.

I have very short attention span like the rest of internet users. If I can't find what I want almost immediately (obviously placed rates etc) I switch off.

For example, on this page http://www.moneybookers.com/app/help.pl?s=m_fees Merchant fee starting from 2.9%. What does that mean? Am I going to get charged more for an expensive item? If so, how much more? The site is not very clear. At least I give 1 digg to Paypal when it comes to clear indication of fee structure.
