I run a website (www.filmonic.com) and I got a 'scoop' and a lot of website have been linking to me.

    I have got this:

This Account Has Exceeded Its CPU Quota Please contact this site's webmaster.
Wait a few minutes and use your browser's "Back" button or click here to try again.

If you are the webmaster, your account may have gotten this error for one or more of the following reasons:
    • Your account has used more than its share of the cpu in the past 60 second sliding window.
    • Your account has too many concurrent processes running simultanously.
    • Your account has consumed too much memory.
    • Your site was recently very busy trying to run inefficient scripts.
The solution would be to optimize your applications to use less CPU.
Adding appropriate indeces to your SQL tables can often help reduce CPU.
Using static .html documents instead of painful .php scripts will practically eliminate CPU usage.

What can I do? I am on BlueHost. Help ASAP

Most hosting companies have a cpu quota for their shared accounts. First, you should find out what your quota is at your current host so that you do not continue to have the same problem even if you switch. Our quota, for example, for shared accounts is 4.5% cpu usage.

The new hosting account only takes a couple of minutes.
Your website files depend on how much content is included in your website files.
And the transfer of your domains could be anywhere from a couple of minutes to 24 hours. You would need to unlock the domain at your current host and get the transfer codes (this only applies if you are actually using the nameservers at the host you want to switch from, if not, the transfer would be even faster since you would only need to change the nameserver address where your domains are actually hosted.)

Check out our hosting deals, if where to open an account with us and open a technical support ticket, we will help you in the process.

Regardless of how much storage and space you get. Your apache processes on your account has exceeded the limitations of the bluehost server.

    Solutions
    1. Talk to them to find out a possible solution ( upgrading or w/e )
    2. Switch to a new host

Would it be better to get the Swamp package from Hostgator or a re-seller package?

We can do it for you. What kind of bw needs do you have currently? Are you doing shared hosting, dedicated server, what? We can provide cPanel based web hosting or dedicated server.

If you are interested in a quote based on your requirements, feel free to contact me. We've been doing hosting for over 10 years now!

    Thank you.
