my site was recently hacked, great.....
now google dropped me from index,
i read a bunch of things that google emails you with the reason why they dropped but they send out emails by sending them to ,
and i didnt have any emails setup, they also send out messages to google webmaster tools, i guess the hacker verified the site as theirs so i dont see any messages after re-verifying that the site is mine

I have now finally got back and took control of my server, patched up the holes.

anyone know how i can find out exactly why i dropped index?
    thank you

I bet it was an attempt by someone you pissed off to drop you from the index. Either way you got someone out there that most likely doesn't like you.

Ouch, that sucks. Most likely it was an attempt by a hacker to manipluate some search engine rankings, unless it was just a defacer. Do you know what content was displayed during the hack?

the site was defaced by turkish hackers, they displayed some Islamic message, funny how I am a muslim myself,
my guess is that since recently the decision to put turkey up for genocide by the american House or what ever, they were pissed at americans and finding any site they can to deface it.

Ouch! Sorry to hear that, hopefully the repairs won't be much. I damn well hope your hosting company plans on crediting you some money.

Froggie, I was hacked by the same dudes who posted graphic pics of dead and injured children from the Iraq war.

In fact, they got me three or four times that week until I installed every security measure possible. It took me a week to get up and running properly, so serps fell hard especially since that site was kid friendly before the hack.

GOOD NEWS: the serps returned a month or two after securing the server and notifying Google of the issue.
