I was wondering how long it takes to get results or set things up like you have. Also, what are the Main Forums you use and may I use them as well?

Not being the Master like You guys, is this ok or not? Please advise.
    Thank you. K.

It's a good way of getting Traffic but, People sometimes abuse it I have seen. I alway worry that I will forget and post a website that will pi s s someone off and then get reported and booted...what is the appropriat way to post a website...if at all if someone is asking for more info or something.

Also, what is the proceedure when posting a link... like the one You have.
I think that is a Great way to Advertise and get traffic incognito style!

    thanks K.

    ...for the 10th time.
    It's relative.
You don't get to 20,000 without hitting 200. And the first 1000 are the hardest.

haha yeah. That is true. But if you can afford to live ok, then whatever.
If not, then a blog was probably not something to create in the first place
Do I have a blog? yeah.
Do I work on it? yeah.
But that's not my money tree.

I'd like to thank everyone for the DP traffic. It keeps going up and up. Not only has forums brought me traffic but Google gave me a nice little spike!

I started a slight controversial thread it has gave me a lot of attention. I guess there isn't such a thing called bad press?

Whilst i dont agree with your topic title "Forums are bringing me crazy traffic!", it is a good start. Keep advertising and working on your site. Don't sit back and relax, you are only just getting started.

200-300 isn't impressive, sites can do so much better than this. The good sign is it's increasing. Look around the forum for tips on how to get more traffic to your site.

I wish you luck and success :)

200 visitors from forum, not bad but you get more by adding other methods.
    Cheers

nice post. yeah i registered today after reading this post. i think its great that webmasters share information and tips. i know some of it is pure trash. people forcing sales and ads but i think the general vibe is of fellowship. question. how many unique visitors a day is considered good enough to start monetizing...even a couple dollars a day?

This rarely happens here on DP - you get infractions and can be banned forever if you do that. For example, aff links can only appear in your sig - never in the body of the message. Cheers.

If the graph is just showing traffic you got from forums I'd call it a success. The traffic is free, and they are not being enticed to click on your link, its just there in your signature. Therefore they're more likely to stick around. I'm happy when I get 100+ visitors from Digital Point because they usually subscribe to my feeds or at least increase my Alexa rank.

200 visitors from a forum could be crazy traffic if the site he is linking to is relevant to the forum.

Forums are filled with internet savvy people. Internet savvy people are more likely to blog. Bloggers send valuable traffic and links to websites they find interesting from their blogs.

If I had a great site with great relevant content on it, I'd be pretty damn excited with 6,000 monthly forum visitors as well.

Cast your net where the fish are is what i say.
