Mine is more than 4.2GB now , it is getting ready to exceed the 5 GB given by Hotmail. The speed of increase is dramatic after Hotmail announces their 5 GB.

I'm sure they say they have no limit, but you could put that theory to a test. I know of a few people in a google group who are gonna test that with yahoo and actually see if that can reach 1 terabyte of data in there mailbox

Something tells me afterwards they won't be getting any yahoo e-mail accounts for awhile!

anyone notice they put crappy limits on attachment sizes?

one of the reasons i have loved and used gmail for the past 4 years almost is because of unlimited attachment size. I've sent 100mb files through gmail before without a single problem... tried to send a 21mb zip file today and got a "maximum attachment size limit reached, 20mb blah blah"

if this is the case, bye bye gmail, was a fun ride

Gmail is the best because they are the ones who came up with the 1GB mailbox for free first. I don't see myself reaching the 4GB anytime soon, but I imagine by the time I do that it'll be a lot higher.

You are currently using 363 MB (8%) of your 4263 MB. Cool!

Now release a hack to host your entire website via google mail with unlimited traffic. Just like there was once Gdrive :d

If they allowed attachments over 20mb people would find ways to use it for piracy, which could get Google in trouble. Even at 20mb I'm sure many people are using it for small-scale music file sharing.
