I would say swimming. Because every muscle in your body is being used when you swim.

Soccer, they run non stop pretty much. I never watched hockey so I cant say.

And swimming is not overly hard, I used to be a pretty fast swimmer in the regular stroke and rarely got tired as its just short bursts. :D

hockey is just similar to soccer.. u need to hold the hockey stick and lean forward while running with the ball so it's more exhaustive than soccer..
Defenders dont need to run too much and it's really a hard job for forwards..

Water polo has to be one of them! It's like a combination of football (american) and swimming!

I play for an indoor soccer team and I can honestly say it's the most tiring sport I've ever played, particularly when there are no substitutes available. It literally is non stop running for 40 minutes. I actually played a couple of hours ago and won 4-1... to say that I'm tired is a massive understatement. :p

It's a toss up between hockey, soccer, and basketball...

If you put a lot of effort into it, any sport can be exhausting though...

Out of the sports I've played (soccer, hockey, football, baseball, basketball and tennis), I'd have to say basketball is the most physically draining.

Tennis can also be pretty tiring. I've had some 2+ hour matches in 100 degree heat.

If sex is a sport, then sex... :D Endurance sports are very physically challenging. Sports like cycling, running, tennis, etc.
