On some of my pages I reach $100 eCPM compared to my usual $5 eCPM, this is all because of good ad placement and that the traffic is coming from long tail keywords from Google. Long tail keyword visitors convert very well to ad clicks. Read my article about Long Tail Keywords to find out how to improve your conversions by targeting long tail searches on Google.
I first had $5 eCPM from good ad placement in a low paying niche. Now I started working on long tail keywords and my pages reach $100 eCPM...
It all depends on which niche you are working in. If you are in some sort of celebrity/entertainment, it would be hard to cross $2 eCPM. But if you are in financial etc. you can get $30+ CPM easily.
Marketing is not as high paying as finance, I write about marketing because I know quite a lot about it (and I know nothing about finance).
I'm on entertainment / Anime niche. Any advice on breaking $0.60 eCPM? I could talk to you on messenger to. If you help me out increasing that, I would pay you well
True, that's exactly why I wrote about long tail keywords. Long tail keywords can help to get traffic in the toughest niches. You simply write about low competition topics with reasonable searches per month, get a backlink or two and you will get search engine traffic. Like my example about 'DJ Business Cards', it is very low competition so I rank with barely any effort.
Mate, take a look at the ad placement on www.NarutoWallpaper.biz, it gets nearly $2 eCPM in the anime niche. The CPC is crap but the CTR is good.
I have a screensaver website getting $8 eCPM but I have no enthusiasm to improve it. The Naruto website has far more SEO potential than the screensavers website so I prefer to put my effort into Naruto. I love SEO.
disagree i have a large section wallpapers and about 5k unique visitors / approx 10'000 downloaded walllpapers daily and get around 6-8$ ecpm average across all wallpapers lowest ecpm is on my spanish wallpaper pages highest on the german wallpaper pages average on fr and en wallpaper pages the total average on 2 higher paying languages and 2 lower paying languages is as above.
thanks for your tips and info... you have a very nice blog...quite informative...keep up the good work
Half of your ads are on the far right, where no one can see them. Try keeping them on the left or near center for better click rate. And you have a lot of blank space on the bottom left side of your pages. Try some ads there.
Thanks. I am focusing on quality content and SEO. Do you think it needs a unique theme rather than a free theme and should I try to purchase the .com domain rather than the .info?
