    btw DELL Inspiron 1420 is good choice. use customize option hen u can upgrade lot of options. don't think much go with them. once u place order and clear payments it will take max 15 working days for them to delivery u ur notebook. my 2 friends using 1420 and it's perfact

    that seems kinda expensive but I guess it's not often you have 2GB, a 512MB graphics card, and dual hard drives...oh and the lightscribe DVD.

    Now I am having 2 models in my mind.

    1. Compaq Presario V3424TU
    2. Dell Inspiron 1420

    I'll upgrade them from 1 GB to 2GB.

    Which one to buy??

    I am currently using Compaq Presario V3225AU. Purchased it 6 months back and fully satisfied with it. Now going to upgrade to its RAM soon. Otherwise everything is perfect.

    Yeap i know that now Core 2 Duo is best one to prefer. Just wanted to share my comments on compaq thats why posted that i am happy with compaq brand.

    Yes you are right DON.

    I have contacted a dealer and he said the final cost for this is 41,000 INR.
    I am going to upgrade RAM from 1 GB to 2 GB so it will total cost me 43,000 INR.

    Pricing is okay????

    Yes Pricing seem ok as you'll get Core 2 Duo with 2 GB RAM. I got it at around 34k but it is AMD and i have purchased it 6 months back :)

    BTW you can bargain with dealer through asking him to give you this with 2 GB RAM at 41k.

    my roomate using a toshiba, so after a few argument im decided to try this HP.

    I am still Confused Mates...

    Compaq Presario V3424TU is having Dual Core Processor not CORE 2 DUO so I refused it.

    I've contacted my dealer and he has suggested me to go for HP Business Laptops OR Lenovo.

    Now I am between HP Business Laptops NX Series and Lenovo Y Series.

    Please give me your suggestions...
