I do since most of the times it shows that they have been a long time member at DP and that they should be able to be trusted

I judge them by no of posts and no of positive iTraders. Sometimes we have to deal with members with less posts count and less iTrader too.

I see their Itrader, how old the member is etc.

Making 1000 posts in a week is not a big issue at all, and this doesn't make them senior and trustable person!

as iBold has shown us in the summer it doesnt matter your iTrader, rep, post count.. He scammed $7,000 from DP members.. so i just look for people me and/or my friends have dealt with in the past and go back to them... As for trading in other forums i dont do it..

So i guess i would say no to your question.

I agree on that, but you can't look at someones account or post and say "hes got good personality"

The post count really doesn't matter. The quality does. The way an individual presents himself in his posts gives an insight into his personality. In some cases 10 posts are enough, in others 100.

Reputation and Itrader do play a role, because at the end of the day, it is a community driven forum.

You can't judge people by their post counts. Some scammers even have 100++ +ve iTrader and more than 1000++ post and some has less than that.

Some wacko could come along and end up with over 12,000 posts! Oh, wait, one already has!!! :D:D So post counts shouldn't be da only thing you look at before handing over da cash!!

I tend to yes, if they have many posts its usually because they have been here for some time and enjoy the forums meaning you can probablly trust them!

That is why I post a lot every day, I enjoy the forums and show my support by being active!

No, I generally judge people by what they are writing, not post count at all. If I can understand what someone is trying to say, that's a huge plus.

Definitely not. One of my points was that post count shouldn't be something to judge anyone entirely off of. I can't say someone has a good personality or a bad personality purely because of how many posts they have. That conclusion would have to come from my own personal experience with them. Before actually taking the initiative to contact them though, the post count, used cohesively with the join date, gives me an idea of whether they prefer to be 'in the mix' or 'taking note'. Just an idea.

In most cases I can know a bit of what to expect, while in other cases I can be completely wrong.

In no way did I mean that I judge a personality as good or bad off of a post count. It's just a tool that I use, in cohesion with their other habits, to attempt to figure out something interesting. It's like a guessing game that ends when I actually get to know the 'person behind the post count' :p.
