Google's 2007 Q4 PageRank (PR) Update - 10/13/07

Thats true, I was on 65th page for a competitive keyword and within last 15 days or so I see myself on 2 and 3rd page. Competition is around 2 Million for both the words.

Well visitors to my site went from an average 250/day to a whopping 2000/day as a matter of fact I was able to sell two links also quite easily

 

Its not Google PR..its the number of sites that are coming up these days..
Theres just too many of them out there..
So there's more competition for the top rankings in there.

He said on the 1st of October it will be a few weeks or a little longer for the next update. If PR was to die then why would he say that?

 

I wonder will real update ever happen(so far i'v seen only pr dropping)
Also i just noticed phpbb.com dropped from pr9 to pr8.I wonder is that beacuse of selling links.

 

Sure looks that way. I'm surprised so many sites still openly advertise on their home page that they are selling links.

 

I assume you are not talking about toolbar PR

 

Just forget a Nearly PR update for the moment ... Maybe in the next month ...

 

i saw some changes on my weabsite too....has dropped from PR4 to PR3 ;(

I haven't checked all of my sites, but two of the oldest ones have increased in pr.

I must admit this is something I don't dwell on much (except for ego reasons), my third best producing website adsense-wise, which is also my best affiliate income producer, has a 0 pr and is in the 6 million on the Alexa rankings.

 

I have noticed no changes on most of my sites. So, I assume the update is still ongoing - I expect one of them to drop one step.

 

Whose site while pr-1,2,3,4 or pr5 has increased?
And who has increased pr-4 or highter, while waiting pr-3?

 

nothing happened so far, i guess happening in different data centers

 

My newest site was registered on 8/14/2007. Since then there are over 1600 BL's in both Yahoo and Google Webmaster Tools (none in Google link. There has been no PR showing anywhere that I have seen as yet.

SERPs and backlinks continue to rise as I/we trudge forward...

 

Is it true that all of the recent changes in visible PR have been drops? If it is true, does anyone have an explanation?

I'm not sure if it's true, but it seems that way... And I think most people are justifying it as part of Google's "War on Paid Links"...

one of the tools said my pr changed but in the google toolbar it didnt so it was probably a glitch

 

Could you , please, stop refering to what Matt said . He has never been here; unless you enjoy fooling yourself . If he really care about this PR thing, he shoud have blogged on this pressing issue in his web site.


Google will update PR when they wish and nobody knows , so far.
