What's your site worth? New Website Value Calculator

Hey everyone,

I just finished developing a new tool to calculate the resale value of a given website, and to suggest improvements for it on how to better monetize its traffic.

I wonder if you wouldn't mind checking it out and giving some feedback. It's still in beta, and you might see a few PHP errors still, but some early feedback would be just great.

I like the design (nice generated logo ) the ajax effects are nice. It isn't too acurate (appraised my site that I just started, has default wordpress install with no posts but it's a PR2 and not in Alexa yet to be worth $100, if I could sell it for $100 I would be very happy!) It also appraised one of my proxies at $300 and the other at $240.

I think that if you fix the calculations to be a little more conservative then it would be great! It should reflect real-world prices and what similar sites are being sold and bought for.

Also the links/affiliate marketing suggestions need a little work It said I could make sell links at $0/link/month and make $2/mo off text-links, and that's on my site valued at $300 with PR3.

Other than that it looks pretty good!

Valued one of my sites that I just set up for $132, and another that I have worked alot on for $150.
Nice design, but these tools for me are just for fun

 

Mine was actually accurate based on 10 months revenue

It is not reporting all my backlinks. Great tool!

 

How does it do the calculation?

I just tried my new gardening site on it and it said $78 which I think is actually fair.

But then it said it had 558 backlinks, which is way off, it only has around 300 backlinks.

And I'm curious as to how it generates the $X/month for affiliate/product marketing?
