    nah, business registration means I have to pay two type of taxes and the tax man ain't getting more than they should!

    Yep. It's only about $70 in Australia to register a new business name - at least it was when I last did it a few years ago.

    .com.au domains require a business name and a little bit of hoop jumping.

    The only reason I got mine (well I've got 2 actually) was to get a bank account in a business name (to deposit 'business' cheques), and to get a com.au domain. I trade using both my business name, and my actually human being name - depending on how much of a wanker the client is :)

    I originally registered the business for webmaster purposes, but it has now become more of an SEO offering.
