I'm facing a weired problem. I can't access DigitalPoint Forum from my PC (This is another one). when ever I'm trying to visit http://forums.digitalpoint.com, It redirects me to forumlegal .net. I've scanned complete hard Disk with Spyware Doctor and AVG AntiVirus. But I couldn't find any virus or spyware. Any help....
Are you sure you're not mistyping the URL? A few people recently reported the same issue in this thread.
I'm not mistyping the url. www.digitalpoint.com works fine. Even I tried similar thing like OP did in that thread. What happens is that I land to correct page from google search result. When I enters id password and password in login box, It showing me welcome message and then redirecting to the other site.
I am not very sure about this but maybe basic things like deleting cookies|clearing cache might help you.
I don't think it's just basic things, I tried every possible things that I can. I was thinking to format it, but someone already tried it but didn't worked.
Why don't you format your computer? PC = Personal Computer ( is no more personal). PC = Privacy Compromised
have you bought a script or something from someone lately? maybe that you have on your home pc and not at work? have you downloaded a tool for a DP members site? i am just wondering if someone has somehow set the redirection from an innocent script you bought, but in fact has added some malicious code. if so posting a list of what you bought/downloaded and from who, with the others thats are affected too, would soon point out the problem code/person
Even reformatting didn't worked. I've upgraded my OS from Windows XP to Windows XP SP2, and seems to be working.
you should have ran hijack this and posted it to a tech forums for them to go over. They would have told you that maybe it was IE6 being hijacked by spyware. yeah, winxp without sp2 has ton's of holes for spyware to get to you.
