I am interested in blogging and have registered a new domain name.
But I am afraid people will not be interested in my blog.
I am also totally clueless on what topics I should blog on.
Niches like webmasters, making money, tips, tweaks have already a zillion blogs so will I be successful ?
Also If it is a personal blog what kind of topics should I post in it
    please help.
Is is ok for a blog to divert from a certain niche say I blog on making money, can I post a topic on a incident in my city.?

1.) There are tons of blogs competing for readers. If your content catches the eye of readers, there will surely be people who will visit your blog.

2.) What is the name that you registered ? That might give you an idea about what you want to blog about. Blog on something that is close to your heart.

3.) Those niches are surely competitive, but there is always room at the top :p

4.) Not an issue. That incident can go into your general category or uncategorized.

Try and make it unique, and make it relevant to whatever domain you purchased.

What do you like so much, that you can write about it for say at least 3 years?

I'm subscribed to a lot of magazines and many many feeds (a little to many LOL). This way I try to stop writers block

    My inspiration has 4 sides
    1. want to take my girl to somewhere sunny and blog from somewhere of the beaches instead of from my cold home office in rainy Holland.
    2. I love the internet, the possibilies and writing/developing blogs.
    3. I love the interaction with other cultures and people on blogs and forums. This is what helping me to come back to my blogs and "my" forums everyday.
4.I got fired 3 weeks ago because I was working on my sites to much. This is a huge motivator to get things in gear. I'm not advising you this though. LOL

Hmmm, I think you should just outline areas of your interest, and then select the best, then just start writing your opinion! Though tons of webmasters blogs are there, but no one had experienced what you'd, just write about your experience in a way that it'll either be a source of inspiration or a lesson for others.

    I'm damn sure, you'll rock! :)

    Happy Blogging!
