Channel ID's

    Can someone tell me how to do this?

    Google AdSense Channel ID If you choose to enter your AdSense client ID, you can also specify a channel ID as well.It would be a good idea to have a unique channel ID for this forum (then you can track stats specifically for the forum).

    I found where "Channels" is on my AdSense page but I don't know what to do next or how to get the ID?

    Thanks

    logon to adsense account,
    click on adsense setup,
    click on adsense for content,
    click continue,
    click on single page,
    set colors etc,

    where it says "All channels", there is a button "Add new channel" click on it and name it to digitalpoint. thats it, you will find the code below in Your AdSense code:

    you will see code like this

    Code:

    <script type="text/javascript"><!--
    google_ad_client = "pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX";
    google_ad_width = 728;
    google_ad_height = 90;
    google_ad_format = "728x90_as";
    google_ad_type = "text";
    google_ad_channel = "XXXXXXXXX";
    //-->
    </script>
    <script type="text/javascript"
    src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
    </script>

    you will see the channel_id in there, get those numbers e.g. 132343434 and paste in digitalpoint profile

    It's revenue sharing for anyone(you are sharing mod forum member)
    if you fill your adsense pub-xxxx and channel, you can participate in revenue sharing.

    how it work?
    when you post a "thread", forum will display your adsense ads.
    therefore you have chance to earn money from sharing mod forum.

    Participate very easy, just find which forum has sharing mod.

    Go your adsense panel generate a adsense code find your "Pub-xxx" with "channel number"

    PHP Code:
    [b]google_ad_client = "pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx";[/b]
    [
    b]google_ad_channel = "your channel number";[/b]

    Fill it from sharing mod forum "User CP" -> "Edit Options", you will find it as snapshot

    save it done.

    Or if you have enough URL channels available, simply add forums.digitalpoint.com there then you won't need to enter the channel ID here.

    just create a channel and from there get the channel ID that you want (its within code that is generated)

    Thanks all... I had 0 channels created (I just got the account a few weeks ago and don't even know what the feature is) I THINK i created a new channel. I went to URL Channels, add new, pasted in this forums.digitalpoint.com then activated it. BUT when I created a code no channel number appears. Did I do something wrong?

    When you are adding a URL channel, you dont need any code.. It automatically tracks any impressions and clicks coming from the URL you added.

    Yes, thats it.. It will track the clicks from that sites automatically. You dont need to add any channel code on your website in this case.
