Recieved an infraction

    i received an infraction from DP..
    the reason is "inappropriate language"
    but i cant get it..
    could anyone tel me what this is

    you can say "that was fucking crazy" but you cant say "you're fucking crazy"
    language is to be kept to a minimum, and not used at people, but it's ok to use it to describe something.

    you can say "look at this asshole" and link to a post on the net somewhere, but you cant say "look at this asshole" and link to a dp member"

    its ok to use profanity in a limited way, its not ok to direct profanity at someone.

    yea,not sure exactly what went down with you,but just dont use "bad" language against other members....i called someone "an idiot noob" and got 2 infractions for it..its the 1st time ive ever called someone a name,but IMO thats what they were being...

    You'll also get an infraction with the phrase "Inappropriate language" if you ask for rep.

    To set record straight. OP received the wrong infraction. It should have read inappropriate post. The reason was stated when original infraction was reversed and correct one issued.

    Computerized, mentioning rep in a post results in inappropriate post infractions rather than inappropriate language. Since the two infractions inappropriate language and inappropriate posts are adjacent in the list, I am sure we sometimes do not click the correct radio button.
