Who's better on adsense ? Simple Text ad or banner ads ? Best CPM and CTR ? Can we desactivate banner ads ? if yes how ? Cheers !
I think it depends if you are running a very PC savvy forum, the users will 'know' not to click on the Text Ads, so the banner ads that you get paid for every time it loads may be better.
I agree. It depends on your niche. Most PC and techie sites don't perform as well as House Cleaning sites.
text ads, people just have this image-banner-blindness nowadays unless it's something catchy enough to generate a click.
I have tested both and text won hands down. Testing results; Text Only: 63% Text and Image Only: 33% Image Only: 4% Hope that helps, but then again on a music, games site image would probably be better. I want to try the video ads, but we dont have them yet in Australia.
It depend on your context, niche wether suit ads placement. You can set up a few channel to know how good it is.
From what I've observed, Image ads do have better CTR but they pay very low therefore your overall eCPM falls down.
Text ads have low CTR but high CPC, Image ads have low CPC but, low CTR. Image ads serves as CPM ads too.
The best answer would be: it depends on the niche. I have a couple of arcade sites and image only ads perform (attract more clicks) much better than the text ads. Same applies to the proxy site. On the other hand, the text only ads work great on the work-from-home related site.
