I've been working with them from 3, 4 years...

I am a coder there... but know...

one of my project is in arbitration ( by me) bcoz Buyer was not responding at time where he should accept all the work as it is completed.

    BUT...

Today is 9th day, project is in Arbitration, Buyer haven't replied, Arbitrator is sleeping...

If this Arbitration was started by BUYER RentACoder would have completed this arbitration in maximum of 3 days...

They respect Buyers only, no value of coders....

I am moving to Elance, hope there they have some respect for coders.

    RentACoders sucks!

Don't think so... They will also favor the buyers only. Please see my profile in RAC when I started to quit RAC...

Getting a job in elance is just like that of draining water from a stone... Anyhow ALL THE BEST!!!

Now I'm with scriptlance.com. They're considering coders well than any other freelance sites. But here you ought to be careful with the buyers as there is no escrow payment...

In scriptlance, Escrow is an option between buyer and seller. As a seller you should insist the buyer to go for escrow. Once you persuaded the buyer with escrow payment, you're really safe...

I won the Arbitration as buyer didn't responded on time...

Now... RentACoder as me to provide them a complete report that how much work i completed, so they test and give me my part of payment.

I presented them 3 reports, they rejected all saying that the details is not enough as they are expecting more....

I am not a technical writer, the kind of report they ask me is built in MS Excel with formula's... where you need to even mention a single button you've built and tell them what %age part of project this button have and how much i've done it!!!!!

I did;nt got any detailed documented requirement at the time of winning project...

I am giving them details as much i got from Client...

But NOW... After responding on Time, after trying 3 time (i never said this is end, i always told them i'll try to make one with more detail) They said i am now on Default of my contract, and i am given a last warning from them to present a report, else! i would not get paid and i will be awarded Poor rating from rent a coder....

2 Months spent on a project, and this is the Reward from Rentacode!

    -------

    MAN! can you believe this!!!!

I am the one who started Arbitration!!! i Asked for help!!!

EVEN I WON THE ARBITRATION!!! and they are treating me Like this!!!

This what i am getting after all my hard-work and efforts...

RentACoder is such a A******, they SUCK!

ive hired people from the coding sites before and it is hard to really get the point across to someone what it is exactly you need done, and ive ended up paying people before the work was really done, just cus I feel bad for keeping them so long, so i think what you have to do is just be really careful to ask exactly what they want done so you dont get screwed...right??

There are people who had problems with rentacoder, but many more people including myself never had problems with them.

    Avoid ScriptLance.com.

My reason for saying that is they prevent negative reviews for programmers. I posted a project with a programmer who had 100% perfect reviews. I thought I was safe, but the work he did was awful, he continually promised and missed deadlines and he lied to cover his tracks. I cancelled the project and then ScriptLance support (Sanjay) prevented me from posting feedback on the programmer ... so he still has perfect feedback.

I wonder how many other rubbish programmers ScriptLance are protecting like that?

    I'll say again - AVOID SCRIPTLANCE.COM!

RentACoder sometimes sucks, for buyers too!

    I posted a very low-priced job once, only $5.
The first time I was able 'get away with' not having to bother with their 'second-level' of verification.
    • The did insist on reaching me at home, by phone (for verification), before I could get a tiny $5 job done.

When I wanted to post one other (very cheap) job, they needed me to fax a copy of drivers license and credit card

    Why bother?
    • They said the low cost didn't matter...
    • They need to "protect the coders"

They respect Coders only, no value of buyers.... :p

    RentACoder sucks!

    Edit:
I just saw your other post, sorry you are having so much trouble.
