Spam...In you Mailbox!

It really boils my blood to see my mailbox have spam in it from internet companies that want to offer me a service I don't want.

I just got one today from "Internet Corporation Listing Services" that apparently will submit my site to 14 search engines (which is free, and easy to do), and also send me mail once a month for a year, that tells me how 8 of my keywords are doing.

    This costs $40.

Can you say ripoff? I'm sick of mailbox spam! Always opt for WHOIS guard :D

I hope your talking about the WHOIS guard and not the listing service :p.

If you would like the listing service, go to ICLS.NET. Although keep in mind it is a major ripoff and not worth your time :).

Ah, but that stuff isn't spam. Probably. Since it's targeted, I'd bet you a pretty penny you signed up for it w/o realizing it. Software downloads, directory submissions, etc. Read the privacy policy. Or do what I do, and just make a junker account for all that stuff.

Nope, I don't sign up for anything that isn't legit and requires my home address. I am positive they got the information from the WHOIS information on one of my websites.

We are talking about spam that comes to your home address, not your email box :D

Namecheap does too, for the first year.

When all my WHOIS guard subscriptions run out, I find out because of stuff like this in my mailbox
